Bell is take off from base

wait as in it looks good on the cards or i need to fix it?

Fix card.

I strut to the aircraft in overconfidence. The technicians are just finishing up. Many of them are sweaty. I feel awful for them, as there have been few to no replacements for them.

I situate myself in the tiny roosterpit. The screens of the glass roosterpit come on at once. I'm given the finger by the marshaller for one reason or another. I express my gratitude and start the engine. The electric motor whines loudly as the engine spools. It turns over to a hiss after about thirty seconds. The marshaller directs me out of the hanger, middle finger in the air. I chalk it up to him loosing a bet and begin taxiing to the runway. Some impatient starfishs have already taken off. I follow suit and fall into a flight lead position.

your loadout sheet says you want a J-10 with:
1 Flak Cannon
2 HSMs
4 AGMs
2 AAMs
Artemis
1 extra chaff
2 extra flares

That's what's on your card, just grouped together instead of scattering them about like so:

(I mean I'm not going to nag at you to do your loadout sheet in a specific way but that was more trouble to go through than it could've been.)

I'm a dumbass first of all. I didn't see the fourth AGM.

For some reason I've always done my load out sheet as if I were trying to balance the weight on the aircraft's pylons.

you realize that it doesn't matter right

you realize that it doesn't matter right

yep

"Alright, lets do this," I radio,"...we must do this without fail. This will be a decisive battle."

... Alright, that's the last one. Everything checks out.

I wave to the technicians to signal I've finished inspecting the pylons, make sure the weapon bay doors properly close, and climb into the roosterpit of the Widow. Once the marshaller gives me permission, I start going through the checklist. One by one, the engines spool up. I drop the lid and continue setting up the avionics.

I eventually take off and form up behind the others.

mr squadron leader can lead you all to the operation area whenever he's ready
or if hes offline just go on your own

bell leads everyone to the mission area

: Good to see you, our troops are stuck in but they're getting hammered from almost all sides. Imperial Defender tanks are pushing hard to center while lighter vehicles and a mixture of Helian and Zentragothic infantry stab them in the flanks. They're almost surrounded down there.
: Hey! You big flying sphincter, you promised us air support ages ago! Where the forget are they!?

"You guys take care of the tanks, I'll hit their infantry."

Bell looks at a panel showing Lefty's loadout.

"Err.. Lefty, you make sure that enemy aircraft don't get on our tail."

She breaks off from the formation, turning on her thermal sights.
