I fire two HSM's at the weakened side of the heavy bomber.

Bell fires a seeker at the undamaged bomber

Though heavily armored, the bomber simply cannot hold up under such an onslaught. The kill goes to Hawkeye.

: Whoa, we got incoming in Gamma Quadrant! Moving to engage!

: Well it's a little late to pack up and abort the launch, you'd better make damn sure you stop them.

Suddenly, Yui finds herself locked on and a missile comes up from well under a safe flying altitude. Two Huit planes approach from medium range, very low.
: [Dammit, I told them not to launch their attack so soon! Take these pricks down, clear a path for the remaining bomber!]

Don't know how i didn't see that, in that case it uses flares and avoids the missile. The kill on the damaged bomber instead goes to Hawkeye.

I double back and try to get on the Rafale's tail.

I dump two more RGM's onto the second bomber, remaining mindful of the two new threats.

As the missiles leave your plane and streak towards their target, you are spiked by the Rafale, who fires on you with a pair of All-Aspects. You could drop flares and evade, but you'd certainly lose your RGM lock. Or you could drop flares without diverting course, but with no follow-up maneuver it's up to fate whether or not the missile goes for the flares or you.

I drop flares and turn hard.

The missile goes for the flares, and the Sabre goes after you, loosing an MMS-6 salvo.

Judging by the comm traffic, the other squadrons are holding their own against their own attackers.
: Alpha Quadrant is clear of hostiles, but we're running low on munitions. Any chance of replenishment?
: Negative, COMRO is unavailable at this time. You'll have to make each shot count.

the bomber that had the triangulation bonus was the one 2 of your teammates were already locked on to, not the undamaged one nobody else was locked on to
that module is meant to facilitate ganging up on single targets

The incoming missile goes off-target, and unfortunately, so do your RGMs. The Rafale attempts to pursue you and acquire another lock.

Bell dives down on the bomber and fires a seeker and the PPC from above and breaks away.

The seeker does some serious armor damage, while the PPC blasts a hole in the lower port engine intake. The corresponding engine belches a cloud of smoke, but performance doesn't appear to be affected.

I drop flares and break hard to avoid the MMS.

Two missiles in the salvo are able to keep up with your flares and maneuvering and smack into the side of your fuselage and starboard wing. No serious damage is done, however.

I fire an HSM and shoot the AC5 at the Rafale.

It drops flares and breaks off from its pursuit, freeing up Crash.

The bomber begins opening its weapon bays.

I fire off my two AAMs at it and spray it with cannonfire.
