"AGH, forget!"
I look down and try to poke at my chest, but before I can even move, pain shoots through me.
"GAH!"
I float down in my parachute in pretty much constant pain, almost unable to breathe because of my rib.

Bell closes in on the Sabre with two seekers and a burst of LCP fire, she tries to line up a PPC shot on the fighter.
He drops a flare to trash the missiles, and continues to fly evasively. However, after observing him you become familiar with his pattern and reckon you could hit him with a PPC.

I see Bell's two missiles going in for the Sabre. I shoot one off along with the other ones, and then I start firing my AC5 at the Sabre.
You have even less luck than your squad leader. The plane drops the last of its flares to avoid your missile and evades the majority of your cannonfire.

Bell opens fire on the Sabre with a well-aimed shot from the PPC.

Bell opens fire on the Sabre with a well-aimed shot from the PPC.
The PPC punches straight through the reactor, destroying the plane entirely in the ensuing breach.

The three massive rocket engines roar to life and the launch vehicle lifts off from the launch pad. Within a minute and a half it is already reaching trans-sonic speeds. You briefly see another wave of attackers on the outskirts of your quadrant, but they quickly turn and fly back the way they came. For all intents and purposes, this mission is complete.

I gasp in pain and surprise as I watch the rocket launch from where I landed. The noise is incredible. I manage to cover my ears after activating my recovery beacon.

"Once the AWACS clears us to leave, we'll return to base."

You resume your patrol pattern for a while, but no further incursions occur. Eventually the AWACS gets on the horn and tells you you're free to go.
: Delta Quadrant, your relief squadron is arriving now and is on-station. You're off the clock.

Yui will arrive at the base a few hours after everyone else does, and will be put straight in the infirmary.
