"Hey, what's your name?" I ask Painter.

: Injured himself ejecting, huh? Must suck for him.

She starts looking through the notebook.

I scab patch the panels and smooth down the cover.

I realize that the transcripts should have come in today. I drop my tools and head to the CO's office.

There is talking on the phone. I presume he is inside.

: More help is always welcome.
I get up and follow techy out the door

I sigh and continue eating my breakfast.

You can't quite make out the conversation being had, but it doesn't last very long. The phone is hung up and it sounds safe to enter.

Progress is made on repairing the Jaguar. At times, the SSGT is able to get to work with almost mechanical precision, but more often she ends up hung up on a specific issue with the plane that she hadn't had the opportunity to work on before.

During the transaction, he tries to start up a conversation with the cashier. The cashier should be the most informed enlisted man on the base- these guys overhear everything anybody says while waiting on-line.

I open the door.

"Sir, I'd like to see the transcripts,"

I open the door.

"Sir, I'd like to see the transcripts,"
: I don't have them. Gave them to Taylor.

"... So, any breakthroughs on the Mercanan front recently? I heard that Mercanan soldiers were able to push back a Imperial armored spearhead recently."
"Doubtful. Probably just some attempt to raise morale."

Bell looks at the roosterpit footage of the J-10 that Kißinger was flying.

"Ayessir," I say.

I pivot on my heel and walk out. I have not a clue where Taylor is and am not very intent on looking.
