Sabre, Lefty, Gladiator, and Crash all have checked into their hotel in the Mercanan capital.

Yukamo explains to Tippy that she has to go deal with some things by herself, and hands her a spare set of keys to her apartment and a translation slate so Tippy can go into town while she's out.

swimming doesn't mean diving underwater jeez, it could just be that tom is wading in the water or just goofing off in the water but not actually going underwater

Tippy looks around the apartment awkwardly afraid to touch anything. Still clutching the translation pad she goes to the kitchen sink to pour herself a glass of water. After taking a few awkward sips she inevitably spills the water onto the floor.

("Ah stuff. This is why i loving need straws.")

Suddenly Tippy slips on the now wet floor and the pad goes flying out her hand and through the window over the sink. A loud and audible clashing of glass and a pad landing somewhere on the ground outside deafens her ears. She looks out the window and sees the pad lying by the side of the apartment.

("Ok. Retrieve pad. Buy new window. Clean up glass. Admit nothing.")

Tippy dashes outside and grabs up the pad. she suddenly remembers the keys, the door is shut.

("Oh Great Ark no.")

She desperately tries the handle and cannot budge it. Then feels around for her wallet.

(Oh good its still there...)

She turns around and looks at what lay before her, good thing she still has that translation pad... although a little cracked. It wasn't even 10 minutes and she's already broken 3 things.

She throws up her translation pad and points it at what appears to be a guide on the wall nearby.

There are roughly a dozen electronics stores within one square mile, as well as a video arcade, art gallery, a tank museum, a small hardware store, and a history museum. This is in addition to the local monuments and other tourist attractions, mostly just old buildings of some historical significance.
