I switch the radio back to squad. "Hey, Crash, you still up for that long winded conversation over some coffee once we get back to base? All of these aerial acrobatics are making me sleepy," I say with a smile.

Jaakko's mic is activated, but he doesn't speak. You hear dead air. It is deactivated a few seconds later.

He's there but he didn't say anything.

I fire off a HSM at Ansell and follow up with short bursts of LCP to get a feel for the gun temperature again
The HSM hits him as he opens fire with a salvo of unguided rockets. Needless to say, most of them miss. You then finish him off with the pulse laser.
: forget! I'm punching out!

Faw rises above Walt and tries to get a nearly-perfect bead on Coaxoch, aiming at the engines.

"If you guys are going to launch any munitions down her way, just let me know. I'll try to compensate."
With her escort either shot down, aborted, or occupied, nobody is able to stop you from getting into position.

Tippy sighs a breath of relief as she sees whisky disappear into the trees.
"That's why i don't trust you."
Tippy falls in behind Miller with shortsword shooting at him with dual AC5's
Bell fires off the AAM at Miller.
By your powers combined, the last Jaguar goes down.

"Holy stuff. I think that was Whiskey, Crash."
I keep on the Shikra, dropping two packs of flares and jinking enough to drop the missiles, then get back to what I was doing: shooting said Shikra any time it passed my gunsights.
You land a few glances but do no serious damage.

"1-1, I'm pulling out, the airframe might come apart if I get hit again. I've reassigned the drone to you. AWACS, notify available Search and Rescue team, we have a pilot down. I can confirm he ejected, though I can't say anything about his current state. 2-1 egressing from battle zone,"
Coaxoch shows no interest in pursuing you, leaving you free to disengage.

I try to see if I can get on Ansell's tail.
Unfortunately, Ansell's plane has come down with a bad case of exploding.

: Ma'am? They're all gone. It's just us.
: ...Ma'am?
: I know, I know. [forget.] All-right, we are going to drop these last munitions and then get the hell out of here. Keep your eyes up for anyone coming from the front.

The Shikra goes on another strafing run, expending the rest of its rockets.

I stay on Coaxoch, making sure to stay out of her turret arc (as well as I can), and wait for the guns to cool off.

Tippy guns it and stays on her ass, firing her AC5's and letting loose an HSM

"Tippy, be careful to stay out of the LBX's gun arc."

I also try to get a shot at Coaxoch. I get on her tail, while making sure there's room for my comrades, and (once in range, if even on her tail) I launch my last 3 HSM's while firing the AC5.

I begin to worry about the LBX.

"Who's gonna get her?" I say as I readjust targets and line up on the Shikra. I fire off both AAMs and think about lining up for an RAC shot, but I decide otherwise when I remember the LBX. Instead, I break off and prepare to watch the fireworks.

Bell starts calculating a shot on Coaxoch with the KSM.

I stay on Coaxoch, making sure to stay out of her turret arc (as well as I can), and wait for the guns to cool off.
Considering the LBX is a chin-mounted gun with only a 180 degree arc, you're pretty much completely safe attacking from behind.

Tippy guns it and stays on her ass, firing her AC5's and letting loose an HSM
Coaxoch attempts to evade the missile without using flares and has less luck than Hawkeye when she tries to dogfight in a K-20.
: Oh dear. I knew we should have taken a LAMS.

Learning from her mistake, she instead deploys flares and tries pulling up, temporarily reducing power to the engines to cut down on the heat emissions. Three of your missiles are trashed, but the last two strike the engines, hindering performance significantly.
You should probably be more worried about the crowded airspace than the LBX.

Bell starts calculating a shot on Coaxoch with the KSM.
Calculations show there's about zero chance her being able to evade the KSM.

She pulls the trigger, firing the gauss rifle with a deadening thud. Bell could barely make out the hypersonic slug headed towards the target.

"I really don't think we need ten people trying to engage the same target."
I break off from the Shikra to avoid a collision.

I sit at a distance while keeping a lock ready.

(I'm away at work now for around 7 hours - If the plane is still standing to the KSM somehow; fire both my RGM's)

Faw fires off a burst of LCP fire, aiming at the less-damages front end of the plane.

She pulls the trigger, firing the gauss rifle with a deadening thud. Bell could barely make out the hypersonic slug headed towards the target.
With the structural integrity already weakened by your squadmates' battering, the slug has no problem tearing through the plane. It enters between the two engines and exits somewhere underneath the plane closer to the front, destroying everything in between. With their engines completely wrecked, Coaxoch pulls the lever and jettisons the escape capsule, leaving the plane to start dropping like a rock.

: Mjolnir, I'm not picking up any more enemy aircraft, and a squadron from the 252nd is coming in to relieve you. You're off the clock.
