stuff. Gus watches a replay of the PPC smashing through his fuselage. If this were real, he would be a very bright shade of obliterated. He sighs and shakes his head, turning around and heading back to base. In the corner of his eye he obvserves the live feed of the battle long enough to watch the Sulla who killed him evade straight into the RGM he fired. He has to make sure not to crash from laughing so hard. Gus makes a point to find the Sulla pilot when he lands.

... how about we give the fenrir a one-turn metamaterial optical camouflage a la ace combat canon, with a set use amount and a one-turn charging period between uses? i'd like to think nauc has its own crazy tier -1 fully-in-house-developed-project bullstuff like the other superpowers

yes, which is why i took off my head gear and stood up. i would imagine somewhere i could watch the rest of the battle

I turn towards Richard, doing as I'm told.

"I don't think I'm gonna last another half of a mile, but I'll try!"

I keep trying to stall her fire.

It's probably been half a mile, and Richard is getting pretty close.

"Want me to break now, or later?!"

"Break! Get on the Wyvern if you can!"
« Last Edit: November 01, 2015, 08:09:17 PM by NoZoner »

I break as hard as I possibly can. Now I try to get on the Wyvern.

In turn, Richard pitches into Yamato's plane of motion and attempts to get on her six.

oh dammit i made a mess. i'm not sure qwepir is going to like the fact we made two actions for each of our characters this turn before letting the npcs respond

3 in my case :(

Jaakko goes to medical to get his wounds treated.

>go through half a bottle of jack
>haphazardly stumble through STO with xk for a few hours
>come back to find two actions spread across like six posts
>my brain when

i'm trying my absolute darndest to go through the posts and comprehend them now, but it aint easy. update may come later than expected.

alright i tried deciphering this and i am assuming you two are going for a thatch weave maneuver? only a version where you try to end up with a bead on each others' assailants?

I'm trying to do whatever evasive maneuver I can to get her off me.

You try to get away from Yamato-
Rafale Base EV 73
No piloting bonuses or penalties
Damaged Control Surface provides penalty of 10, something i forgot to account for in the last post.
Test taken at EV 63
Shinden Base EV 82
No piloting bonuses or penalties
Test taken at 82
Rafale rolls to evade: 45 - success by 1 degree
Shinden Rolls to pursue: 65 - success by 1 degree
Roll granted by Supermaneuverable: 49 - success by 3 degrees
Rafale fails to evade.

-and she sticks to you like glue. She finishes you off with the pulse laser before you can bring Xiaomei in front of your guns.

He immediately breaks away from the Wyvern, punches the burners and heads for the Rafale. The Sabre drops a few hundred feet in exchange for a small boost.
You break off from the Wyvern, allowing her freedom to attempt to get back on your rear.

Wyvern Base EV 100
Expertise provides bonus of 12
Damaged TVC System provides penalty of 20 and Supermaneuverable roll is taken at +50
Test taken at 92
Sabre Base EV 73
No piloting bonuses or penalties
Test taken at 73
Wyvern rolls to pursue: 78 - success by 1 degree
Roll granted by Supermaneuverable: 133 (83+50) - fail
Sabre Rolls to evade: 93 - fail
Wyvern successfully pursues

You rocket towards where your squadmate was, and Xiaomei falls in behind you, albeit outside of gun range. A lock warning appears on your hud, followed by another, and then ten more. Right as the last lock shows up, Yamato flies into your sights.
: So. Shall we call this a match, then?

You currently have the Wyvern locking you in with the MMS-12, but a clear shot on Yamato. Do you give up, or try to double dip in the crit sauce and go for the gold?

"... That's a match. Well fought." Whatever chance Richard stood going against two fighters that could turn faster than his, he wasn't interested in seeing the outcome.

The AR visor flips up. Richard runs his fingers over the small patch of forehead not covered by the helmet and finds it dripping with sweat.

Thus concludes the test of the EV system. You are all permitted to land and go about your off-duty business and whatnot. Meanwhile, I have a metric stuff ton of things to stat up and some edits to make to the OP. If you have any suggestions or recommendations as to how certain things should be statted, let me know either here or over Steam.

Also, before people start prematurely writing up new characters, the fight against Raiden is not entirely indicative of how combat will go all the time. Common enemy pilots won't have any piloting boosts, only aces will, and it'll be really rare to have multiple aces in a single squadron the way Raiden does.

Jaakko goes to medical to get his wounds treated.

You see Nagato lying on a bed, completely still. She isn't even chatting with anybody, although the position she is lying in looks comically uncomfortable.

conclusion: PAK-FA is better for ESAM and squad leaders in general, SI-32 Sabre is good for A2A if you're not a squad leader
and i want to switch back to the PAK-FA haha
