The heavy bag is beaten worse than Brazil in the World Cup. Gus stops when his hands are comfortably numb and the tape is battered and torn. It was apparent that whatever the Deltans filled their bags with, it was neither cloth, foam nor sand; knowing them, he concludes it was most likely a pile of oversized beetles. He takes a moment to retape his hands, taking a drink from an opaque bottle and observing the gym. As morning was now in its more populated stage, a few newcomers had shuffled into the gym, some looking more asleep than awake. His eyes drift to a TV playing a news reel with a rather attractive anchor. Unfortunately, the subtitles are in Kintharian.

Eventually, Gus stands and retakes his spot in front of the heavy bag. He checks his watch briefly before getting back to it.

Ralph sits in his room and drinks some water.

Jaakko is off the floor by the time Tippy steps back outside. He nervously plays with his fingers in waiting.

"Do you think we did the right thing with running from that flight of Huitz?" He asks.

"Upon their arrival at the third radar installation, the Razorbacks were confronted by a gunship with four Sabres in tow. The gunship fired an exceptionally large missile salvo at the flight and completely overwhelmed them. We were about thirty seconds behind the Mercanans when we witnessed the attack."
: Sounds like Tlacelel's work.

The commander's brow furrows as he starts skimming over your report.
: Only... he wasn't supposed to be there. Our intel solidly pointed to him being farther west, assisting EP ground forces in holding off the Kintharians. Why would he have pulled away from the heavy fighting to defend some radar post that he didn't even know would be attacked?

Tippy pauses for a moment before walking to Jaakko and placing her hand on his shoulder.

"We did. The way he took out those Mercanans served as a good reminder that we're not invincible. I was angry and i wanted to make him pay for those pilots deaths... I was wrong to be angry at Mjolnir for fleeing but i would have felt even worse if i anyone on my team got killed... I'm not even a flight commander but i need to remember that their lives come first... it was the same way with my  45th Armor division. I struggle the most with picking my battles. So we did the right thing ok?"

Tippy removed her hand and began walking down the hallway to hit the Cafeteria.

"Speaking of which, my Armor buddies are deployed nearby. I received a message that i might get a visit from them if they can catch a break and be relieved by allied armor. But..."

Tippy trails off a bit

"If the allied armor meets resitance my friends are going to be in a heap of trouble."

i dont know why he'd need to ask this because we're the BIG AND BAD AND FAMOUS MJOLNIR SQUADRON DONT FUKK WITH US

"Armor in the jungle? How?"

That can't be good. It almost sounds like we might have a bigger problem than our friend in question, one much closer to home.

Richard looks back at the door before moving closer to the desk.

"I'll leave you to investigate that matter. For now, is there any information on Tlacelel- 'Mr. T' that I can readily access? I'm probably not going to look into it today, but it would be helpful to know."

God that movie was awful.

As morning begins to fade, Gus finishes his crusade against the heavy bag. He showers and changes back into normal clothes in the locker room, setting the gym clothes in a hamper for laundry. He takes one of the last packets of Mercanan coffee grounds from out under his mattress and heads to mess.

yeah but the saw blades were gud

what about the stumps though

rlly good suspension

also highly doubtful we have MBT's in the jungle. Light armor is feasible though.
