"Armor in the jungle? How?"
More likely she's referring to them using Infantry Fighting Vehicles in more urban environments. Tonks aren't going to be useful in the thick-ass jungle, but when/if you make it to a city it's time to break out the BMDs.

"I'll leave you to investigate that matter. For now, is there any information on Tlacelel- 'Mr. T' that I can readily access? I'm probably not going to look into it today, but it would be helpful to know."
: I'll have a dossier delivered to your quarters for you to look over.

"Thank you, sir. I'll be up and out of your way, then. If I catch wind of any suspicious activity, you'll be one of the first to know."

Richard turns away and quietly leaves the room.

Gus heads to a coffee machine, pouring the contents of the bag into the filter. Taking the Deltan equivalent of a bagel, he heads back to the coffee machine, removing his cup and taking a seat at a table. He thinks about the Mercanan flight, tapping the table absentmindedly.

also highly doubtful we have MBT's in the jungle. Light armor is feasible though.

iirc tippy's fluff says that she was in some out-of-date or older tank. Perhaps the unit was a reservist or air mobile unit.

Reality sets in on Jaakko. Fatigue returns to him. The sun is coming up, and he doubts he'll be able to sleep. He decides to attempt washing Jalko and Talko.

"I'm going to go wash the dogs, so perhaps we could invite them into the crew quarters," Jaakko says.

There's fatigue in his voice.

"I'll leave that to your discretion. I'm gonna go grab a bite to eat maybe."

A few corridors down, Richard slows his pace and palms his forehead. 'Suspicious activity,' he ruminates. It's probably got nothing to do with anyone here. He continues to mull over last night's encounter, walking absentmindedly down the hallway, almost bumping into someone. He retracts his foot, takes a step back and looks up to find Jaakko and Tippy.

"Oh, hey."

"Greetings. Just get back from spilling the beans to the brass?"

"Yep. They got their hands full with this one." Richard tries to restrain himself from saying much more. "Did you guys manage to get any sleep in?"

"A little toss and turn there a little agonizing scream there. I'd say i got an excellent full nights sleep by comparison to others."

Tippy crosses her arms.

"Were we ever properly introduced? I don't feel like we were."

Richard blinks. "Now that you mention it..."

Now that she mentions it, indeed. It takes a little searching for Richard to recall that the only way he ever got to know her 'name' was through a pilot now long gone, having taken up residence in the digestive tract of a massive fish somewhere in the wide waters of the Gaian ocean. Whatever humor the audience may derive from this fact never reaches Richard, as he instead feels a pang of sorrow for another good man taken by the perils of war.

"... I don't think so, either." Richard tries to smile, despite remembering his late friend. "I'm Richard. Nice to meet you." He extends his hand.
