Tippy acknowledges the gesture and shakes his hand. Her grip was iron. Most definitely not born of handling aircraft.

"I was about to go find something to eat, i'd be fine with you coming along if you're interested."

Roger enters the corridor quietly muttering to himself while looking at the spent data from his device.

"I let too much info slip. Damnit the whole team could have been killed."

He see's Jaakko, Tippy and Richard standing some ways down the hall close to his door and quickly pockets it.

"Morning. Nice to see you well Tippy... Jaakko... Richard."

Roger pulls out his keys and begins to unlock his door.

Richard returns his hand to his side and moves his fingers in a strumming motion to get the blood flowing again.

"Uh, sure. I haven't had breakfast either, actually."

... She never said her name.

Richard turns to the new arrival and greets him accordingly.

"Good morning." I don't remember properly introducing myself to this guy, either. He thinks nothing of the device Roger sticks in his pocket.

Tippy snaps back to reality and notices she forgot to say her name.

"Tippy. Uh. That's my name, sorry i'm so hungry my mind is on lots of other things. Just Tippy."

She notices Roger fumbling with his keys.

"Morning Ratsnake. Better not be doing your "sleuthing" again, i heard your favorite guard was transferred here."

Roger finally gets the key into the lock and looks at Tippy.

"Ha ha very funny buckethead. I wouldn't dream of it. I heard reports of strange smells from the other residence and we all know how well you handle deltan food."

He opens the door and slips in, quickly closing the door.

"Tippy. Thank you." Richard gives her the benefit of doubt and tries not to think of it. He watches as Roger hastily slips into his room and closes the door.

Huh. 'Sleuthing.' I wonder what she meant by that... Well, whatever. Doesn't sound like these two are being serious.

A yawn escapes Richard's lips, and he lifts his hand up in an attempt to hamper its departure.

"On second thought, I think I'm just gonna hit the sack for a minute. I'll see you guys when I wake up." He shortly retires to his quarters.

Gus comes to the conclusion halfway through his meal that the abomination referred to as a Deltan bagel was possibly one of the worst things he's ever tasted. He shoves the crumbling remains into the trash with disgust and returns to his seat.

forget.

I zoned out, and now two others appeared. A bit unexpected. I can feel my body searing from fatigue, between no sleep, picky eating, and the nearly disastrous mission. I think about the Razorback pilots, and realize that their demise feels- distant. As if they may as well not have existed. The mission feels oddly surreal though, but not with the electrified overtones that the other had. CAPs and other routine missions just feel like work, not surreal, but normal and laborious.

Oh Gods be damned.

They've been talking the whole time. I don't feel that I can interject, though walking off wouldn't be so kind to Tippy.

Ralph listens to the muffled conversation going on outside. He sighs, throws away his many water bottles, and steps outside to take a piss.

did ralph really just sit on his bed in his room and drink a load of water

give or take a few sighs here and there p much yes

I listen to the conversation in the mess, making the decision not to interject, and enjoy (if you can even call it enjoyable) my bugs and bagel.

Jaakko begins walking down the hallway, opposite of everyone.
