Gus eyes Coaxoch and his squad with worry.

"It's probably for the best that we don't dwell."

He fails to elaborate further, hoping the near tangible tension in the air will speak for itself.

"I suppose my only question is why exactly did you fly to our airbase? I would have assumed you had taken off at your own. How long have you been deployed up here?"

"I suppose my only question is why exactly did you fly to our airbase? I would have assumed you had taken off at your own. How long have you been deployed up here?"
: When did we come out here? The eighth? Tenth?
: Depends on what time zone you're in, could have been the tenth or eleventh.
: Point is, we came here about a month ago, after the surrender, and it has been an endless string of sorties ever since. Ours is one of only a few squadrons who could be spared to go overseas and kill the insurgent commanders who refused to lay down arms, and we are to stay deployed until they are all dead.

"How many insurgent commanders are there? I was under the impression it was only a handful."

"How many insurgent commanders are there? I was under the impression it was only a handful."
: There are. The ones in South Aesthia and... well, South North Aesthia, have already been dealt with. After the one in Nogova is dealt with, we will be returning home. If it still exists.

"Well, I hope we can finish this last one off fast and you can return home with it intact."

Jaakko reflects on international talk of Deltan fallout landing in Coryza and Aurussica.

Jalko nuzzles Coaxoch, prying for more food. Talko paws at Tippy for attention.

Tippy yawns loudly and scratches her head. She decides to ramble on a silly subject.

"I just want this war to be over and maybe have a new one but this time with aliens. World peace would be at hand with an alien invasion. Except for Porlaq, those guys would probably do something loving handicapped in that situation. Worse, The aliens assist Porlaq."

Coaxoch pets Jalko's head, while exchanging bewildered glances with her squadmates at Tippy's outburst.

Tippy finally notices Talko pawing and gives him ear scritches

"See? the dog gets it."

Yui walks around the hangars, looking for aircraft she might be able to fly, instead finding some unfamiliar aircraft - rather, familiar aircraft, but heavily modded, each one with the Djuriskas emblem somewhere on it.

Walt stands up and cracks his back while twisting it.

"I'm off to check on my aircraft and get some things sorted out. Good to meet you in person Coaxoch."

Walt begins to clean up his tray and head off.

The hangars are small enough that only two planes can be stored at once. The two you've come across are a Flanker+ and a Berkut, both sporting some out of place livery. The Flanker is draped in a very yellow desert scheme, and the Berkut is looking even more bizarre with its grey and teal splinter camo. Also out of place are the clearly nonstandard TVC nozzles on the Berkut and the bloated, but still-attempting-to-be-aerodynamic bulge on the Flanker where the oversized LBX has been installed.

"An LBX on a Superflanker? Wouldn't that rip the thing apart?"
A look of confusion colors Yui's face, and she stops to study the planes. Yui also notes the TVC engines on the Berkut, which look identical to those on the Superflanker next to it.
Interesting liveries as well.
