: Prototype engines; supposedly they're going to use these on the next line of Flankers, if the kinks can be worked out. Right now they can push it along faster than the current model, but they're heavy and go through more fuel than they should.

"I've always thought about modifying my own Aircraft, I haven't managed to stick with one long enough though."

Walt places his hands into his jacket pockets

"I was considering outfitting the Shikra with a trophy system that they would usually put on Armoured vehicles.  I'm pretty sure the Techs would have a fit if I tried that though, Despite that thing being a flying tank."

"I've thought about a combination, the problem is the LAMS takes up some of the heat sinks capacity which I need for the guns. In theory I feel it would shrug off MMS more effectively too."

Walt pauses for a moment to breath in through his nose

"I'll see if I can try it sometime when I've had more airtime in it, then the techs will hopefully trust me more with what I'm theorizing."

: I'm afraid I don't know as much about this system as you do, I just know I'd sooner trust a laser with the task of shooting down a missile at high speeds, rather than a haphazard spray of buckshot. ...That is how it works, isn't it?
