: I don't know where everyone else has gone, I just know Virvel and I to fly in a few hours tonight, and we're supposed to get some rest until then.

"I see, I'll leave you guys to what you have to do. I just thought I'd have a break and check around, Good luck with those engines."

so about that edit
In its' current state, LAMS all but guaranteed (as in, it succeeds on a roll of 1 to 95) to take out one regular missile per incoming salvo, with a 33% chance of destroying a second missile (or the first, if it failed the first roll). When dealing with an MMS, it rolls 1d6 and that is the amount of missiles it destroys (in-universe, the MMS was developed as a counter to captured LAMS systems, the idea was to shoot more missiles than the AMS can intercept or use the MMS salvo as a screen for the real missiles, somewhat similar to the RPG-30). Whenever it fires during a turn, it generates a bar of heat, and after three firings it overheats and needs 3 turns to cool down. For balance reasons, it doesn't cool off immediately, because that would be broken and mean you're more or less invincible for having it. Right now it's currently undecided how much coverage the LAMS should have, I'm debating it having only able to cover your rear or something.

I'm open to suggestions.

: Colonel Zolnerowich did see me, and the dogs too. Questioned what I was doing. I answered his questions, he went on his way.

"I'm surprised he didn't loving kill you,"

: And? The base commander has approved of my operation here.

Yui, after about 20 minutes, stops the treadmill and heads to the showers to clean up. Afterwards, she heads over to the requisitions office to check what's available.

mission time, for 6 people
Another week goes by and everyone from both Mjolnir and Djuriskas reports to Kibble's briefing for today's mission.
: We're going behind enemy lines for this one, so taking a stealth plane or the jamming system is a must. The Imperials have established repair yards for their air navy in a series of South Aesthian canyons, close to the border, and we're going to take them out. Our primary targets are the repair docks hanging off the plateau here, here, and here; and if you're willing to shoulder the added risk, the fusion reactor here.

She directs attention to the marked areas on the map with a pointer.
: Problem with the reactor, it's at the center of the complex, and flying too far above building height will get you targeted by every SAM in the area. Up to you whether you want to risk the SAMs or fly between buildings to get there. Or you can leave it, but doing so just means they'll be able to fix what damage we cause easier. Enemy presence on-site will be negligible, but once you begin your attack they'll be scrambling fighters from all over to come after you, so time is of the essence. Approach low, smash the place, then get out.

"HiCom could have sent us a special munition for us to drop on the transformers if they want the reactor made useless,"

Yui really, really wishes she still had her Razorback, then elects to bring the Berkut along.
