: We've had several 'catatonic' pilots on this squadron since the start of the war. I remember that two of them were basically asleep on the job while we were supposed to be escorting an airborne carrier.

Bell looks back down to read some of the papers in her hands.

Upon inspection of the game board, it looks like Frisk is beating his opponent rather handily.

"That's strange, it seemed like you were getting the lucky rolls up in the air Morten, specifically on Yui."

Yui joins Nagato in watching Space Adventure.

: Not a very positive bunch, are you? You guys did better than you give yourself credit, especially you, Tippy.
"I appreciate the compliment, Major. Also i apologize for anything i may have said on open comms during the fight, i get a little on the heated side."
: Hmph, not the first time I've heard that phrase, but it's the first time I've found it agreeable instead of infuriating.
: And there we have the main point I would like to bring up. Caesar was borderline catatonic, and Hawkeye's decision making was highly questionable at times. You know both of them better than I, is this a common occurrence with them?
"I would say Hawkeye is hardly a problem and very receptive to communication. I appreciate her on most missions and she's fairly prone to correction if needed, issues aren't too common with her. Caesar on the otherhand is a bit green. I think additional training might serve him well. The main issue is reaching the guy. It could be fear, i'm not sure."

"Well, if it's anything to Yui's credit, she's stayed alive for this long, and was briefly en- 'indentured' by Coaxoch, but all in all she is still around,"

He clears his throat.

"Now 'Caesar- hell, there has to be a more appropriate name for him, he uh. He hasn't been in the squadron for that long. I hope er- pray that he doesn't freeze up in actual combat, or he won't be around long," Jaakko says.

"To our sleeper's credit, once you complete your first two dozen or so sorties, your chances of not dying in combat start increasing drastically. I hope he'll get up to speed,"

Virvel smiles and nods.

: I'll have to trust your judgement on this one. I'm not about to tell you what to do with your pilots, but if I may make a suggestion, no, a request, I would like for any unreliable elements to be left on the bench for a certain upcoming sortie. My team is going to be putting a lot on the line, and I don't want any of them to be killed because of someone else's inaction.

"That's strange, it seemed like you were getting the lucky rolls up in the air Morten, specifically on Yui."
: Yeah, get back to me when I repeat that three more times without fail.

He hands the dice off to Frisk, who ends up rolling a four and another three, enough to get two more of his checkers off the board.
: Bullstuff!
: It's these magic hands, they're on fire!

Morten stands up and violently sweeps the game board off the table and into the wall.
: What the hell are you doing?
: You're cheating!
: So I got lucky, so what?
: Uh-huh. If it were anyone else, I might believe them, but not you.

She looks over at you with a smug expression, like she's about to say something, but before she can open her mouth the commotion between Pansar and Frisk breaks out. She turns her attention to them instead.

"Are you at liberty to elaborate or is this need-to-know?"

Jaakko makes a note of going down to requisitions and requesting gear such as a GScram.

Tippy makes a note to go down to requisitions and get some chips from the snack machine

"Common occurrence for him to just get lucky? There's probably other games around here that are harder to 'cheat' at."

the chips that should not be named

you know Caesar probably blanked out because I took the last bag of dorites in the mess hall and short circuited his body functions

Yui also turns to watch the commotion.
Cheater, huh? Gotta watch out for that.

"Are you at liberty to elaborate or is this need-to-know?"
Rikard glances over at Coaxoch. She doesn't notice.
: For the time being, it's need-to-know, and not everyone in this room needs to know. The operation is still in its planning phase, anyway, so there's a lot left to be worked out. But, it's why I agreed to our wargame in the first place, and the one with Raiden. I wanted to see more of what you were capable of, if you would be up to the task.

He turns to face Xiaomei and Yamashiro.
: Now, was there anything you two wanted to add?
: Kirves, you were going about the cloaking thing all wrong. What you should have done is split your squadron up and send them in different directions instead of charging into one big dogfight. Force the enemy to either split their strength between the two, or go all-in against one team and leave the other open to catch them in a flanking maneuver. Then, while the opponents are occupied, you can get the drop on them. Instead, what you did was charge straight in, decloak in the middle of a furball, and nearly get yourself caught between Zolnerowich and Rask. You spent so much time setting up and aborting your sneak attacks that you gave the enemy free reign to focus down everyone else, and then you were stuck by yourself fighting four planes.
: Also, drop the slugthrower and get yourself a particle cannon. Those shells might hit a bit harder, but it's not worth having to contend with their sluggish velocity. I don't mean to be rude, but you looked rather foolish botching your sneak attack with the gun.

"Common occurrence for him to just get lucky? There's probably other games around here that are harder to 'cheat' at."
wait so is he talking to nagato or pansar? im assuming the former since you quoted her, but im not sure
ill wait til i get a response to advance this situation

"On top of that, your cloaking can become a bit annoying."

"Looking back, keeping the squadron together was probably the better course of action considering we had liabilities such as the Razorback, the Shikra, and our Sleeper. I believe that OPFORs long-range pressure was what handed us the defeat initially,"

He bites the inside of his cheek and looks at his bottle. He wears an expression of disappointment.

"I do concede that the UAC and my cloaking in the first round was ineffective. I am considering new weapons options. The problem with cloaking- is that nobody has wrote a guide on what is effective yet because Fenrirs are so rare that we're still trying to figure out the best way to employ them,"

He looks to Tippy, then to the group.

"I have considered giving Cap'n Tee the Fenrir so that I could use something that can better handle ESAMs and advanced electronics. And she's far more aggressive than I am as well," he adds.
