"Guess you can't really get around that stuff easily." She seems to think for a moment before piping up with a question. "How's it feel being sentient when all of the others like you aren't?"
: I believe they are.

"...a recording device? You mean her..."
I'm forgeted.
: Eye, yes.

"I don't see why Xiaomei is deserving of 'skepticism' which is bordering on unjust speculation and rumors. She has been alongside us through plenty of sorties. I trust her, even if she comes off as cold or unlikable," Jaakko responds.

The dogs return to Virvel.
: Suit yourself, but don't come crying to me when she blackmails your squadron into doing work for her.

Virvel continues to pet the dogs.

Walter enters in the room
"I overheard your offer for piloting pointers from someone else. Frisk's offer was also tempting, but I feel like the pilot is what really makes the aircraft."
: You're making the right choice. I'll begin instructing those in your unit who care to listen in a week, it's the earliest I'm available.

"Uhhh yeah, happens a lot to me too. Sweet thanks."

Roger wipes his face down and throws it away in a nearby waste bin.

"Alright lets go."

"What even leads you to believe she's KZG?" Jaakko asks.

The dogs are in bliss, they both try to lean on Virvel.

: Her subordinates don't seem to like her as much as they like each other, she flies a superplane that probably costs more than the five of us's planes put together, her bionic eye is pretty clearly more sophisticated than the ones on the KCAF girl, she wears a different uniform...
: Not to mention she's creepy, standoffish, and not very personable at all. Have you ever tried talking to her? It feels like she's hiding something.

: I believe they are.
"I don't have much experience being around Helians like yourself, but with how everyone treats you like a novelty when they see you, it led me to believe that not all of them had the level of... awareness that you have," she explains.

"Sounds good, I'll make sure I attend."

Walter looks up at the clock

"I think that's all I had to say, unless you have anything additional  I'm going to go retrieve my dinner."

"Why would they want an intelligence officer to look any different from the rest of a squadron, or fit in poorly with her squadron to arouse suspicion?

: All robots are submitted to monthly selective memory wipes. I am beginning to suspect that this may be because the humans do not want us to mentally develop to the state I have reached.

: You're dismissed.

"Why would they want an intelligence officer to look any different from the rest of a squadron, or fit in poorly with her squadron to arouse suspicion?
: Who knows? Maybe she doesn't need to be undercover?
: Could be she's just a stuff intelligence agent.

"Very well, Thank you."

Walter promptly exits and heads to the messhall to find a seat after retrieving his food

"I don't know why you'd spy on an ally and not be undercover. That, and if she were spying, and were a stuffty agent, counterintelligence would have probably found her and hung her by now. I really, really don't think she's a spy," Jaakko says.

"So if they go without the memory wipe, they'll eventually become aware like you?" she asks. "How long has it been since your last wipe...?"

: Well, we didn't run into any trouble, so I'd say it went w-
: Boring! Nothing happened!
Faw stirs his coffee while looking at Nagato with a bit of indifference.

"The less combat we get into the better."

He takes a sip of the coffee. He winces a bit and pushes it off to the side.

"It's terrible. Tastes like battery acid with coffee undertones."

"Very well, Thank you."

Arkhip and Morten are at one table, Raiden and Faw are at another, and just about all the others are populated partially by randoms.

"I don't know why you'd spy on an ally and not be undercover. That, and if she were spying, and were a stuffty agent, counterintelligence would have probably found her and hung her by now. I really, really don't think she's a spy," Jaakko says.
: Whatever. I tried to warn you.

"So if they go without the memory wipe, they'll eventually become aware like you?" she asks. "How long has it been since your last wipe...?"
: Two and a half years ago.

The nurse comes back with a cold compress for your minor head injury. She tells you to be careful for the next 24 hours, and to come back to medical if you suspect that the injury may be getting worse.

: Bad coffee is still preferrable to no coffee. At least, that's what I tell myself.
: I don't think it's that bad.
: That's because your cup was half full of cream and sugar before you even put the coffee in.
: And now I don't have to taste it as much, what's the problem?

Cualli nods and stands, pressing the compress to her head. She leads the robot out of the infirmary and into the hall. "So you've had a while to reach your level of awareness," she muses, half to herself.

Her stomach audibly rumbles, reminding her that she hasn't eaten for several hours. She glances down at the robot. "Normally I'd go home to eat dinner, but since you're with me and I can't take you out of the base, we'll see what the mess hall has to offer."

She walks into the mess hall, not bothering to take note of who is with who, and goes to see what's being served. Cualli keeps Elu close by the entire time, holding the cold compress in her hand, having removed it after she left the infirmary.

Jaakko shrugs and doesn't say anything.
