Walter rolls his eyes with a slight grin

"You're a funny one aren't you? I wasn't sure what to say when you came from the left field with that remark."

Walter sighs and relaxes a bit more, feeling comfortable

"Did you see all of that fight? What did you think of it?"

Jaakko is silent for a few moments.
"I had thought about it. I think I'm going to return it sometime, I don't know when thought. Probably after the war," he replies in a low tone.
Jaakko can see the look of glee as he remembers it. He shakes his head.
"Gods it's unnerving, she can be kind and calm and then loving snap into a bloodlust," Jaakko laments.
: ...Have you ever considered selling the captain's things? Or... giving it to someone else?

"No," Jaakko barks with annoyance.

"I hate those loving fascists but I can't help but feel compelled to return it because it feels loving dirty. Dirty to keep, worse to loving sell," he elaborates, annoyed.

: Well... I mean, you could donate the money you get to a charity organization. Frisk apparently makes a lot of money selling war spoils, not that he'd ever give a dime away. Or you could give them to a historical preservation group, or... or someone who really needs the money.

"I'm not keen on selling stolen goods, sorry," Jaakko replies, slightly less annoyed, "I'd bet Virvel peddles spoils too, doesn't she? And who would need money so bad that they need to loot the dead and sell it?"

: Um, I... wouldn't loot the dead, but...

He sighs and looks at the floor.
: Forget it.

"Did you see all of that fight? What did you think of it?"
"It was boring as the outcome wasn't surprising. If Nagato had taken out Virvel maybe i would have been a little shocked. But it didn't happen."

"But what would you do? Virvel just gored for you a soldier. Or better yet, some sadist imperial just gutted you, how would you like to be treated?" Jaakko replies sternly, "I'd rather be left as I were. -And why shouldn't that be the same thing I afford to even those misguided people that are Imperials?"

Walter adjusts how he's sitting

"Do you think you would ever be able to take on Virvel? She seems very confident with her skillset."

: I wouldn't care, so long as my body is left intact. And from what I've heard, the Goths typically honor our burial traditions when it's reasonable to do so, so...

Faw enters the firing range and picks a spot close to the sides. He unhooks his holster's leather strap and draws out his service pistol. He pulls back the slide to chamber a round, and flicks off the safety. He takes a look down range to spot available targets. Just a group of steel targets about 30m downrange from him. He places his right foot ahead of his left foot and raises his pistol, and aims for the chest of the left-most target thirty meters away from him. He fires three shots one after the other at the target.

"You'd be fine with someone looting your personal items, say, pictures of family, letters, your favorite knickknack, your prayer beads, your mask. They could put it on a mantel, keep it with them, you could be their lucky loving charm. Is that the level respect you'd say someone deserves? What if it were a family member's corpse, say your brother or father or something, what then? Certainly if it's okay in this case or that case it's okay in any case, even if it is your family?" Jaakko answers sternly.

: Goddess... Just forget I said anything.

"So you said you wouldn't loot the dead, what do you mean by that then? Why not donate to charities with your pay? You don't have to collect the medals of the dead to be charitable. Hell- I spend very little of my own pay, most of everything is covered by the Air Force. Only things I buy is stuff for the dogs, nothing more,"

Jaakko sounds somewhat calmer, but still upset.
