"Control, Snowman, leaving IP Lancer to intercept the airship."
"...right, that's a bad idea."
Yui debates moving on to the destroyer instead, then decides that's a better idea than going after ten SAM emplacements.
You both meet up and head for the destroyer.
While Mjolnir handles the remaining ace elements, Kommandant begins barking directions to the rest of his unit.

: Djuriskas, form up on me. That means you too, Eremit.

: What's
that supposed to-

: What's the plan, boss?

: That cruiser, we're going to take it out. Frisk, Pansar, I need you two to be tip of the spear, your armor generator is still up and there's not a scratch on either of you. Line up like you're going for an attack run and do a close flyby of the ship to draw AA and PD fire away from the rest of us. Eremit will back you up with the GSCRAM if you need it. Virvel, Eremit, while they're drawing fire from the PD emplacements, you two knock 'em out with your guns. I'll handle those two Typhoons myself. Everyone got it?
The other four pilots give their acknowledgement, and the allied flight begins regrouping to put the plan in motion.
2 turns until Missile Range on the Typhoons, Destroyer still a considerable distance out.

Moving as quickly as he can while remaining quiet, Gus moves towards the back of the restaurant to put solid cover between himself and the vehicles. Positioning himself between the back wall and a cooling unit, he takes off the flight helmet and uses the reflective surface of the eyes to peer around the corner.
You get a glimpse of the troops moving by on the other side of the restaurant, and it doesn't take long to realize they certainly aren't Aesthian. In the front of the convoy is a boxy MBT you can immediately idenfity as an Imperial design, as if the men riding on the turret and Power Armor marching alongside it didn't already give away its allegiance. Following the tank is a pair of IFVs, and then finally a Defender bringing up the rear. You'd seen them in still images, and from afar, but it takes seeing with your own two eyes just how small the men riding on it are in comparison (and how many it seems to be able to accommodate) to fully appreciate how massive these war machines are. Though the helmet reflection is far from a perfect picture, by comparing the footslogging power armor to the height of the tank itself, you reckon it must be at least 13 feet from the ground to the commander's hatch, compared to an Aesthian tank's 7-8 foot height.
