Jaakko undoes his restraints and stows the launch seat. He takes his duffle bag with his items and heads over to Tippy.

"Captain Helmet Hair, need a roommate?" he asks, grinning, "Or are you planning on just filling the space with guns and another robot?"
Tippy looks at Jaakko with disinterest and shrugs.

"feeling excited?"

"Not really, my head hurts a bit," he claims.

He shifts his weight between his feet.

"Better than bunking with the odd one out," Jaakko responds, "Up to you."

"Nah you can bunk with me, but I won't take it easy on yah."

A few hours later, dinner is interrupted by an automated announcement by the ship.
"Attention: Imperial vessels located. All hands prepare for combat."
The computer's call to action is followed by the flashing of lights and blaring of the alarm, along with a general quarters announcement from one of the bridge staff.
"General quarters, general quarters! All pilots, to your planes! Repeat: All pilots, to your planes!"
The mess hall erupts into action as the veteran airship crewmembers bolt to their stations, while the new blood struggle to keep up and find where they're going.

Graf immediately gets up from his table and heads for the hangar to look for someone in charge. He can't fly air-to air in a Tornado, it would be Self Delete! After a short while of trying to navigate the area, he reaches the hangar and runs to the officer at the hangar in charge and asks for an air-to-air jet he can use, quickly. He spots his eye on the Fulcrums, but is unsure if he is allowed to fight in it.

He thinks back to the air-to-air duel and resolves to not be an idiot this time around. He remembers some ACM maneuvers he was taught in training, and BFM diagrams he looked at after his simulated battle with Yui.

Walter jumps up from his bunk and smashes his head on the above bunk, startling Faw if he happened to be there. He stands up and scurries out of the room rubbing his head as he looks where the other pilots are heading.

"Oh, stuff! Already?!"
Yui, after abandoning her table and scrambling to the flight deck in somewhat of a confused rush, decides to take one of the X-37s that is currently available. In her head, she goes over the mistakes that got her shot down six times before, including in her duels, and briefly wonders how she's even still a pilot. The food she was eating is the last thing on her mind at the moment as she goes through the startup procedures on the Corsair.

Ellie suits up and gets in her Tukreb

Gus sprints to his PAK.

Jaakko leaves his food and heads for the ready room. He is confronted with cramped hallways with crewmen shuffling by eachother. Jaakko gathers his items, and follows the directions to the hanger, where he is confronted with his Fenrir, being unbuckled from the hanger floor.

Jaakko puts on his helmet and eases himself in. He stows his pilot bag away and watches the hanger crews scramble about the decks.

"Attention! Imperial vessels located. All hands prepare for combat."

Lorens tilts his head up at the speakers with a pained expression. Caught in a daze from the change of events he still has yet to adjust to, he mindlessly leaves his seat, spurred on by his innate sense of self preservation and duty.

Soon enough, Lorens arrives at one of the supplementary Fulcrums on the lower deck. He dons his flight helmet and ascends the ladder.

Tippy, already being in her flight suit and necessary equipment as usual, throws her helmet on and heads for the planes quickly making her way to her fighter. She buckles down.

"I think I'm gonna like it here." She says, talking to Jaakko through his helmet.

Due to the unfamiliar circumstances aboard the carrier, a variety of mishaps plague the scramble. Walter's Skepna ends up placed on the wrong catapult on flight deck B (through no fault of his own) and has to be moved over to the center catapult so it doesn't slam its wing into the hangar wall on exit. This ends up backing up the flight queue and prevents Lorens, Ellie, Yui, and Graf from launching while it gets sorted out. Additionally, despite launching before the stuffshow on flight deck B happened, Gus quickly realizes that his plane had been left with only 25% fuel. He ends up needing to land before the rest of the flight can even take off. Things aren't going so well for Djuriskas on flight deck A, either. Eremit and Frisk both got completely lost on their way to the hangar, and ended up taking an extra ten minutes to get to their stations. In the end, it takes nearly an hour for (almost) everybody to get in the air, which makes the subsequent announcement that it was a surprise drill something of a relief.

"Tippy, I think if we stay here we're going to die," Jaakko says with a sarcastic delivery, referring to Tippy's comment before the launch.

He catches up to Tippy in the hanger.

Yui almost sighs in irritation before remembering hey, this is probably necessary for when we end up in combat. She lines up in the queue for landing.
