Yui pulls away from the buildings, staying just barely above them to try to avoid SAM locks. She exhales loudly through her nose, radio off for a moment.
"I'm alright, she's holding up for the moment."
Yui checks the wing, wiggling the ailerons a little bit to check if the right side one is still functioning, and watching for incoming locks.

Lorens takes a quick glance at the countermeasures panel. forget, I can't let them get another lock on me! He lets out another two chaff strings and dives down, this time aiming to thread the Shiva in between the buildings, hoping the streets will help mask his signature from further attack.

Jaakko fires a vortex missile and AAM onto drone four.

"Vortex launched. Gods this had better clear them out!"

The soft whisper of the missiles leaving is obscured by the engines' afterburners. Jaakko damns the seemingly little progress being made.

"AWACS, missiles from downtown and destroyers aren't allowing us to get close. Is there anything you can do on your end? Jamming perhaps?"

The space afforded by this gives you quite a lot of room for error, while still being low enough to the ground to impede the destroyer's targeting and having enough buildings around to totally obscure you from the cruisers.
