Lorens retracts the airbrake and pushes the lever forward. The secondary annular combustor spits fuel into the exhaust nozzle where it ignites, accelerating the aircraft to potentially unsafe speeds. The enormous afterburner plume of the Shiva's massive engine raises the sound pressure levels to glass-shattering volumes, destroying windowpanes and triggering car alarms with the passage of the Deltan behemoth. Lorens continues speeding down the street, too fast for any law enforcement unit to catch.
