One radar-guided missile reaches its mark, and the Hyperion is staggered by the blow. For a moment, it almost looks like it will be able to recover, but instead the entire roosterpit is jettisoned and the rest of the airframe detonates in an explosion that barely leaves anything to rain down on the buildings below. Seeing this, Phobos cuts off the pursuit and reduces speed to integrate itself better with the rest of the swarm.

In the CIC, Marshal Tarkirov is briefly shocked to see the Hyperion's marker flash off the board, a reaction that comes as somewhat of a surprise given his seeming indifference to the allied markers dropping off.
: Track that debris! I want a recovery team assembled ASAP, have them deploy to the crash as soon as the airspace is secure. If it's secured.

Getting his second career air kill (on one of the most advanced fighters in all of Reliquary no less) thrills Lorens, but he has no time to celebrate. The MAW tone goes off once again, alerting to the presence of two missiles, both heatseekers. Lorens turns his aircraft back to the airships once again, but not before releasing two of his own flare packets. Amidst the chaos, he notices his own brother is in danger.

"Blackeye, flares out and jink, now!"

"Gods damnit all!" Jaakko curses to himself as he sees Gus fall off the radar.

"Control, Mjolnir 1-1, what's the possibility I could land this thing and have a Tukreb waiting for me when I get out?" he radios the carrier.

The sickness he feels is replaced with frustration and anger.

Gus lands amid the evacuated city, and a feeling of deja vu overcomes him. Admittedly, this time with far fewer puncture wounds.

"AWACS, Mjolnir 1-3, landed safely. I-"

He is interrupted by the spectacular explosion of a plane above. A capsule descends slowly from the fireball.

"Whatever just ate it, I'm near where it's going to land."

Mjolnir falls back to the cruisers ahead of the swarm and enters the same pattern Djuriskas is holding (with the exception of Crash and Tippy, who continue past the cruisers towards the carrier, but the drones are hot on your tail. The entire swarm will be in missile range in 3 turns, and Tippy and Crash are cleared to land whenever.

: Sky Marshal, one of Mjolnir's pilots went down and has eyes on the Helian debris. He says some of it looks like it's going to land near him.

He walks over to their station and uses it to speak with Gus.
: Tempest, I understand you have eyes on the debris from the Helian plane, is that correct?

Gus immediately recognises the voice of NAUC's senior air commander, and tries to sound as formal as possible while removing SERE items from his ejection seat, as well as a thirty foot length of paracord.

"Yes, sir. A capsule of some variety. My rough estimate is that it will land about a kilometer west of me, a few blocks away."

He glances at the sky once more, observing the black cloud of smoke.

"It may have landed on a rooftop."
