"Not only did you sell out for nothing, you brought them Aesthia's best weapons for next to nothing too. How many men do you think have died because you decided to take the easy way out?"
: Nothing? All my life I've had to live with a breathing tube, burdening my family with endless medical bills because some dumb bastard ship captain thought he could cut a few corners. I try joining the military to help get them out of debt and get put in the most dysfunctional unit in the world along with an egotist, a conman, and a loving psychopath. My father was killed as a direct result of Aesthian negligence, and my mother got evicted from their home because there weren't enough hours in the day for her to work enough to make ends meet! And then, I come back on leave for a few days and nearly got stabbed to death by some thug trying to steal my car!

Arkhip punctuates the last few words of his sentence by pressing his finger into your chest.
: The Coalition is a failed state that cannot adequately provide for its citizenry, and I don't care how many Aesthians die so long as it stops this cancer from spreading any more than it already has.

"Your sob story is truly touching. Really. The oh woe is me vibe really makes for your overal climax. Or maybe your just dysfunctionally selfish since you see only your own problems weighing on you. you made your bed with cowards as a coward so dont get all defensive when your full of stuff."

Walter turns to Virvel with a bit of worried expression

"Want to go retrieve those patches before we get wrestled down by security here? We can catch up with him later."

The instant Eremit puts a finger on Jaakko, he balls a fist, ready to punch that loving mask off his face. He stops himself as they'll brig him and probably find an excuse to shoot him.

Jaakko grabs the wrist of the hand that Eremit's pressing into his chest with one hand, gripping it as if he were trying to crush it, and throws it away back towards Eremit. His other hand is in a fist, resting just below his waist.

"Some son you are, selling out. A real son of a bitch- Say, is that part about the Coalition the Imperial state-issued opinion for today?"

: What? No dude, this is way too interesting, I want to see who throws the first- Ohhh, stuff, right. Patches it is.

"Some son you are, giving up. A real son of a bitch- Say, is that part about the Coalition the Imperial state-issued opinion for today?"
: Giving up? The whole reason I had to keep fighting no longer existed. What, exactly, was there left for me to "give up" on? The notion of "serving your country", even though your country's already failed you? Clearly that wasn't enough of a reason for you to stay on board, seeing as your hypocritical turncoat ass is out here too.

"I am still a Major in the Coalition Air Force. I'm here to see the country I love doesn't destroy herself and the world, not because I can't deal with adversity. You sure as hell gave up on poor Cualli. The poor girl wasted away after you left,"

Jaakko shrugs.

"Do you have a conviction to anything? What is there here for you to fight for?"

Ash watches his fellow pilots argue with each other. He eventually loses interest in the back-and-forth going on with his superiors and the defector, and tries to fixate on something else. A grumble in his stomach reminds him he hasn't eaten in hours. He pats down his flight suit and triumphantly produces a candy bar from his chest pocket.

"Hey, I've got some chocolate," Ash announces to the group, "Does anyone want a piece? It's some good stuff from Mercana," he holds up the bar to show off the wrapper, which reads "Grandma Alya's" in cursive Aesthian text, as well as in Mercanan in a smaller font underneath.

: Don't you dare pretend you ever gave a damn about Cualli, I know you were one of the people on that ship that treated her like garbage. My only regret is that I couldn't have taken her with me.

You find that your rifle is still in your plane, though it has been moved. Additionally, the ammunition for it is missing.

"Son of a bitch!" Tippy exclaims slapping the roosterpit.

"Which one of you damned Imperial roostersuckers took my ammunition?!"

Your inquiry gets nothing but concerned and dismissive looks from the Imperial ground crews within earshot. Musashi hears however, and comes over to you to attempt to defuse the situation.
: You really have to calm down. The last thing anyone here needs is a short-tempered pilot walking around with a loaded gun.

: What? No dude, this is way too interesting, I want to see who throws the first- Ohhh, stuff, right. Patches it is.

Walter walks a bit before picking up the conversation again

"I would've also loved to see who got sucker punched first but I saw some of the staff watching us, hopefully after this sortie things smooth out. What's your stance anyways? ...on this whole situation? I've only really got some hand gestures from you."

Ash purses his lips and sighs through his nostrils. He slips his finger underneath one of the folds of the wrapper, carefully peels the chocolate bar open and breaks off a square.

"So much for that," Ash quietly mutters to himself before putting the square in his mouth. He looks glumly at the wrapper and wonders if this is the last taste of home he'll ever get.

"...I'll go for some chocolate."

"I'm in the middle of a gods damned enemy hornets nest with men to take care of! I don't trust a single soul on this damned carrier, to which we were *tippy does air quotes* persuaded to drop everything we stand for! For all I know we've all been lied to! I've done everything I could to keep your bitch of a flight leader from killing any of my crew! This could have been SO much worse! Everyone else here is virtually quiet, but me, I have yet to be convinced! When I'm backed into a corner, I get angry!"
