One person I know rolled their car on a straight road, 1 day after getting their full license.
And another parked their brand new car on a steep road, without the handbrake on, and it rolled down and hit two other cars, all a couple of months after passing.
On Friday, I heard a girl in class telling her friend that she crashed into her friends car causing over $1300 in damage.
I have a friend who totaled his car by crashing into a light pole, which passed halfway through the front end of the vehicle.
Over a year ago, two kids from my school were driving along a road. They somehow lost control, flipped at least five times, and the car caught fire. The driver was killed instantly. The passenger, who was in my Algebra II class, was ejected from the car and also killed. Probably the most emotionally devastating loss of students I'd ever witnessed, although I didn't really know either of them very well.
I think I heard one story where a guy was drag racing with his friend. A stoplight turned red and his friend got through it and continued driving, but the other guy stopped. When the light turned green, he peeled out, lost control, and mowed down some traffic cones in a construction zone and had to pay a $500 fine.
And finally, I had a friend who got his license and got a speeding ticket for 78 in a 65mph zone less than 72 hours after passing his test.
My driving test didn't even include parallel parking. I still don't know how to do it
I had to do it in my test. I had never parallel parked in my life and I still parked perfectly driving an 18 foot long passenger van.
