Author Topic: Does anyone use MP3 players anymore?  (Read 2636 times)

I have this old MP3 player and I am thinking about selling it along with a bunch of other old stuff I have. I might list it on Craigslist or something but I have no idea what price I should ask for.

I found two of them on Amazon and they are really expensive. I'm trying to understand why since people don't use them now that iPods or regular phones are the popular option for listening to music.

Thoughts?

i use spotify
Forgot about this. Why the heck are MP3 players so expensive if people don't use them?

It's either a really old product that for some reason is still available or it's just a blatant ripoff considering a simple MP3 player isn't supercomplex; I'm going to assume the former.

Also, the reviews on the product are literally over 9 years old.

Probably because it's now a collection item. Like the original GBs.

if you look hard enough, you might find some headphone freak carry around a mastering quality high-res digital audio player such as the ones listed here and here

i actually plan on grabbing an x3 myself somewhere in the future

tbh i can see these getting really popular since the whole 'high res audio' craze is starting to kick in

edit: Alright I'm a dumbass for not reading the topic a little more thoroughly. I can say I still keep my old 2GB Sansa Clip handy though

My brother does.

Title question is answered yay!

We got my dad an MP3 player for his birthday last year
But it wasn't extremely expensive, and he wanted one.
But he's a delivery driver for a supermarket, and we're in a rural area, where phone coverage can be patchy, so him getting things like Spotify wouldn't be of use, and he didn't want an iPod/iPhone, as he gets all his gadgety stuff from his Kindle Fire and his Phone.

i have a new walkman
like an ipod for $30

it's just not really as relevant any more; people tend to carry around devices that can play music and much more these days so it's a bit redundant

I think I got it for my 9th birthday (2007) and I remember I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Now I have two of them and haven't touched either one in years

mine can only hold 10 songs because it's corrupted and about 3 of the songs don't decode correctly!

I'm wanting to buy a sansa clip

Those are so tiny. My dad got an iPod Nano a couple years ago. I haven't seen it for awhile
