That's like saying that people enjoy Transformers movies, so Michael Bay should just keep making more.
idk anything about the transformers movies so the brown townogy is lost on me but that's not your fault
so what's wrong with michael bay making more transformers movies? is it because they're bad? if that's the case, that's kinda subjective honestly. if people enjoy it, let them enjoy it. if the nature of the work calls for extra entries to satisfy the fan base, so be it. i don't tend to agree with the idea that things which are disliked shouldn't continue to exist (not trying to talk down on anyone by saying this).
i certainly don't think fnaf is a fantastic game. it also defo needs some additional work and maybe some better framework so that he doesn't have to keep pumping out completely new titles, and can instead just release dlc or w/e to add more.
The whole loving principle of the thing.
Maybe it's because I study philosophy and culture and it annoys the forget out of me that we produce utter stuff when we have the capability and intelligence to produce classics and deep-meaning content, regardless of their genre. Maybe it's because I want all games to meet a certain standard instead of having developers who simply make games that are "cool".
It disappoints me that we keep appreciating things that don't try.
i can understand that but i don't think you're being completely fair at the same time
fnaf is by no means a perfect formula, but a lot of people enjoy it for one reason or another, and that's significant enough, i think.
and even bad games can be good for the industry as a whole; it lets us know what doesn't work, just like good games show us what does.
