what gender am I?

alright, to clear this up - i forgot to actually give otela a gender before i started the adventure. don't know how it passed by but when the question came up i realized i hadnt set one. so i just played along and asked what the users preferred. the answers i got were 'calculator' and 'girl' so obviously i just went with the latter. i'm gonna settle on this. don't debate further about it. i mean hell, why do you need to know, anyways? it's not really gonna have an effect on the plot as far as i'm concerned.
anyways now that i've cleared that up, it's time for a text update because i was mostly working on projects and doing my own stuff to release stress. good news is, i found out my tablet pen works now, however i dunno if ill use it since ive stuck with doing it by mouse. but i get a little irked by some of my drawings, so ill try it.
Yes.
OK, you heard what he said. Maybe you should stay safe, try to avoid contact with undesirables.
(But seriously, say you don't have any money and you'd appreciate guidance)
You feel pretty concerned about it, but you kinda feel like maybe you should just go...
reply with something to the effect of "That depends on where I am. If this is a military base? Research station? Submarine arcology? What is Boatu and where specifically am I?"
You reply again, more specifically about what this place is, assuming it's 'Boatu', and if not, then what Boatu is.
Xander hesitates a bit then goes on to explain. "Yes, this is Boatu. It is the largest and capital island of the Excess Islands. I'm not gonna go on too long with the history and the Kabachi natives. There are 7 main islands in the chain. They were all originally massive military complexes and sub pens and proving grounds back in the Great Wars, for experimental marine vehicles and aircraft. It was closed in the late 70s when the Great Wars ended then was re-inhabited by US citizens and natives. It was called the 'Concrete Heart' by soldiers back when it was in use by military, and sometimes still is referred to it as that.
Simply put, the nearest military presence is just me. You're not technically supposed to be here, though, but you're not gonna be shot or detained. Not while I'm around to at least escort you around so you don't look like some nosy photographer or nuisance."
