You probably shouldn't use real cars though. I'm not sure if they will yell at you if it is a free game or not.
I've seen plenty of games sold with real life cars or real cars with a little modified look just without the branding and nothing happened. Anyway I'm pretty sure Filipe will make his own original cars for the game.

Will try out later

Well the cars added on the game have fictional brands and names so there is no problem, but they're just placeholders anyway

id call this a 'tech demo' really there doesnt seem to be an objective
Yeah sorry I meant to say that

They more than likely have written consent and placed a copyright notice. Need for speed and gran turismo come to mind.

If you can, I'd add a sort of chase cam like in other racing games, instead of locking it to the back of the vehicle. Should make the experience flow a little better.

if you're looking for suggestions, I have four words for you: car customization and upgrades

It's planned to be a Free Roam Driving game
Of course, Filipe. What else did I expect?
Just kidding! It looks awesome.

i actually really like this and hope this turns into something in the future. here's a couple suggestions if you do manage to form a good team to work on this:
  • if you're looking for suggestions, I have four words for you: car customization and upgrades
  • demolition derby maybe? if you could get someone to make vehicle damage physics?
  • for any future updates for the pre-alpha/tech demo you could probably make a giant sandbox with stuff to toy around with (kind of like what Next Car Game did)
  • multiple types of vehicles, like boats n stuff
  • a gamemode type similar to Blockland Speedkart, with unique tracks and crazy stunts as oppose to typical urban street racing. Unity might provide more interesting results than Torque.

Oh I forgot to explain why there is a ball there, I plan to make a soccer field for car soccer events.

I was gonna suggest that when I saw the physics

so is this going to be like Need for Speed?

If anything, my game will be the closest to a game called Road Trip Adventure for the PS2

problem #1: car goes forward and left non stop by itself.
problem #2: no camera movement?
