If it's within their grasp, why haven't they grabbed it  yet?

I just wish Lockheed would revive the SR-71 Blackbird. The plane didn't need any missile defense systems - it loving outran the missiles.

That doesn't matter. Everyone has radar/air defense systems that the US military deems more advanced than what the SR-71 could out do. It's outdated.

5-10 years? I sure hope they get this going in that time. It'd be amazing.
