How do I get good in CS: GO?

i have one question but one question only

why does everyone seem to despise the AUG
it's a half-scope rifle thats forgetin great

it's scope doesn't really do you a lot of good for it's price
i could get an M4 for a few hundred less and get just as many headshots at range as I would with an aug. its a crutch weapon imo

so i just played a game where the servers crapped out for everyone but one guy (at least, i assume so. i dont think he was hacking) on my team so he just kinda spawnkilled them until they surrendered
but im a silver 3 now so thats cool i guess
