Author Topic: Does anybody plan on buying Cities: Skylines?  (Read 1653 times)

In my opinion Cities: Skylines is what Simcity 5 should've been, so far from what I've seen lots of stuff is similar to Simcity. I plan on buying it, has anyone else bought it or already ordered it?

I'll buy it once it's released after I've read reviews

its the same as last year's, but with improvements. if it goes on sale I might pick it up

i'm planning on buying it

was tempting to pre-order since i've already seen gameplay but it comes out tomorrow anyway and i'd like to see some more critical input first. TB has made several tweets about it being p good and about how everyone died. hoping he does a WTF is on it. p sure he said it was everything simcity wanted to be/should have been

If I can get the money.

it looks like everything the new simcitys wanted to be
probably once the positive reviews come around

The flooding physics look amazing.

it's really good
my biggest complaint is just that you can't pan by holding left or right mouse like you would expect but WASD works fine

it's a lot like simcity except way better and more in-depth

Bro, pipe laying was my stuff.

Bought it yesterday morning and I love this game. Unlike Simcity it's actually challenging and engaging.

look dont get me wrong, its great to be able to place pipes, but 9 times outta 10 i want them to just be done for me. im sick of seeing "aaa dont have fresh water" stuff because oops i forgot it was 2002 again.

i thought simcity was pretty engaging (then again im in love with anything and everything maxis touches) but i dont think either is very challenging, at least in terms of the standard "plop zone, gro big" gameplay (minus the agent snafus you can run into in simcity). i'd definitely love to see some more intense specialization in cities skylines tho.
