so people are spending $1.2 bucks for what is essentially internet access, a notepad, a calculator, and a tile matching game.
you can buy all that for around 50 bucks at most. mcdonalds wifi is the best

imagine how many dumb people are going to spend their money on the watch edition

Holy stuff, they put a mobile processor in the MacBook? Hahaha.

Bullstuff?
Apple asking 17K for a stupid watch is bullstuff.
Rolex does it, along with any other premium watch maker. You are also paying big for the Gold. What a anti-apple loving prodigy you are.
The lightning cable allows for data transfer.
That's not a lightning cable, from what I know USB-C is the new standard of USB that isn't really that mainstream yet.

Yeah, I saw that on the spec sheet after the fact and didn't think anyone cared enough to get a correction.

To those of you saying $17k is ridiculous for a watch...

Yes. But keep in mind that there is also a $349 version for everyone else who's not some multi-millionaire who has money to spend on expensive watches.

$17k is actually not a lot compared to what some companies charge for their top-of-the-line watches. And a HUGE portion of that $17k is because of the real gold that is on it.

I'm not so sure why you guys think that it's so ridiculous when it's obvioulsy trying to compete with other extreme luxury watches..

I was mainly talking about Macs in general, the newest Macbook model is too stripped down to be useful. I forgot to mention how bad the CPU is on that Macbook in my other post but as I said, Macs are good just not that one.

It's mostly just taking any possible chance to ridicule Apple.

Also I never really put any input in this topic because I was too busy calling Espio a forgettit.

Imo the Apple Watch looks alright, but before I got one I would like to see a few things in it.
  • Waterproof (I'm a swimmer, so this is a big deal for me)
  • At least 2-3+ days of use without a charge.
  • Time always displaying.

Other than that I like the UI and the design. The UI looks pretty cool compared to the Android Wear, much more suited for a watch.

As for the MacBook I am pretty mixed on that, I like it and dislike it. I love the design of it and the use of the next USB-C standard; but I highly dislike that they only included one USB-C port and for the specs the price is pretty big, I feel like making the price in the MacBook Air or below range ($500-$800) would make it a much bigger hit (I could see this being huge for students, stuff I would get one for $500-$800).

spring forward? more like spring backward
get it
because it's not a technological advancement whatsoever

If Apple is going to release a MacBook with no USB ports or anything a good laptop needs, what is the point of buying this over a phone.

Oh now they have "USB C". Another gimmick that wont catch on and will make the Lightning cable obsolete. More products for the peasant race to drool over. How much you wanna bet they are going to try to make the iWatch seem innovative?

Just reminding all you kind folks that you still need an iPhone.

USB-C wasn't made by Apple, it was made to replace USB 2.0/3.0. Good job bashing on what's probably going to be the new standard of USB in years to come, moron.

$17k is ridiculous for disposable technology. A real watch that costs $17k is something that you pass through your family as an heirloom, the Apple Watch won't be usable generations down the line.

Pick one.
Unless they were silly and did e-paper, it's not practical to do that...
