:O Thieving Lego Company!

Alright, so the Lego company are making there own MMO, I was like :O when I heard about it but when I went to the wikipedia page about it, something bothered me!

It is believed by some that LEGO is copying the idea for LEGO Universe from a game called Blockland. The developer of Blockland had contacted LEGO asking if they would like to have their hand in the production of Blockland, which was currently in public Alpha testing. LEGO then had an offer that the maker of Blockland didn't like so he turned them down. He then continued development with the help of the makers of the Torque Game Engine, the basis of the Blockland software. It seems as if LEGO has then taken his idea and turned it into their own game.

Did Badspot or another Blockland player write this? Or someone else *shifty eyes*

Well anyway, if this is true then lego are thiefs and Badspot should haves there hands for it (anyone whos been on the TBK RPG server when im on knows what i mean *hint hint*)

You do realise that Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, right? It was likely someone from here who put that in the article. The sentence in question isn't very well written either, "the maker of Blockland"? Also, look at the link next to it in the article, it only goes back to the main page of this site. There are no sources or articles linked to confirm any of the claims made in there at all.

I'd prefer this game stay away from LEGO. They'd add in all this crap that is for younger kids, and then millions of children would flock to this game.

Click on the link to wikipedia. lego has a message board on lego.com talking about it, this should be illegal, they are practically stealing from badspot. When this game comes out at the end of this year blockland might not be half as popular as it used to be.

I know, but it is still stealing badspots idea and taking it for themselves. Since they are a big company they will get away with it and badspot will probably get less customers.

I agree, im never buying legos again. i posted a topic on the message boards saying "lego i hope you rot in hell!". Im gonna write alot in their message board! Everyone should spam the LU message board saying how they are stealing badspots idea!

Blockland.us isn't a source. The "opinion of some" isn't a reputable source. "It seems as if LEGO has taken this blah blah" is an opinion.
