Author Topic: The --- ping problem  (Read 1835 times)

So when I host a server people can join it for about 5 minutes, then it suddenly becomes un-joinable. I haven't tried anything to fix it yet, but i will try a few things tomorrow and post the results here. It seems a lot of people are suddenly having this problem, and I've personally never had this problem before which is interesting.

Will post results tomorrow.

yay

also its so spooky that it was a coincidence that we all got this at once

I'm getting this too. Was fine just a few days ago.

Please try to use a method that does not include port forwarding, that is not an option for a lot of players

just tried unplugging router for 10 seconds, but that didn't work

godspeed elm

I tried the restarting router fix, it didn't work. I was able two weeks ago to host, now I can't.

Would setting a static IP help?

Forward your port or play the waiting game, the problem should be fixed in a few days or less.

If you have a dynamic IP, then this explains the problem entirely.
Yes, changing it to a static one would fix this issue.

Setting my IP to static fixed this problem for me.
