Zimbabwe would like to form an alliance with Sweden, do you accept?

i don't know about you but zimbabwe is a landlocked nation that's really far away from sweden. Japan has the advantage of having access to the high seas and the benefit of being a strategic point for Asia. This just seems like a really weird proposal considering that there would be no feasible way for Sweden to honor any sort alliance treaty effectively.

I can give you Z$1,000,000,000 in exchange for four thousand Swedish troops scattered around the perimeter of Zimbabwe to secure our borders.

What will we be trading? We both have large petroleum industries, so I see little value in trade in that market.

no nation will ever not need extra oil

we also have a large solar energy field, and tesla cars

in return we'd dig some military equipment or advanced computing hardware

Ah, well. Trading it is then.
