I never had a problem with nails on a chalkboard, but the sound of stryoroam rubbing together makes me want to tear my ears off.

threatening: Nothing
Fist incoming: Ohstuff abort!

Are we discussing flinching, or cringing? I'm not really sure on the distinction we've got going here.
I will only flinch, as I know it, if I think something or someone is about to hit me. So, you know, I pull my face away from it, and usually tense up.

But I cringe at certain sounds/feelings. Like, if someone bites metal, particularly if they bite their fork while eating.
Or if finger nails get caught on something (not the sound of them scratching, so much as them getting caught in fibres of materials).

For me, I suppose I consider cringing to be a result of disgust, whereas a flinch is a fear of physical danger.

I know there is a certain food that I flinch at when it first enters my mouth, but I don't remember what it was now.

I also flinch/cringe from bottles being shaken that contain thick liquids (triggered from years of taking milk of magnesia), anything that tastes like cherries (milk of magnesia again), being touched without expecting it (sudden hugs, pokes, grabs, etc), probably objects/body parts being swung at my face, and the scraping of wooden objects.

There are several things that bother many people that don't bother me though. Fingernails on chalkboards for example. A couple weeks ago, I was putting dishes in the dishwasher when my mom walked into the kitchen. I picked up a ceramic plate and a steel fork and dug the prongs into the plate in a screeching noise. My mom cringed so hard that she literally screamed at the top of her lungs and clutched her ears. I just laughed cause it didn't bother me at all.

What the hell, mate. I'd have recieved a bollocking for purposefully scratching the plates.

It didn't leave any marks if that's what you mean. As the metal vibrated against the glassy texture though, that noise was like a whistle in a dog's ear from the dog's point of view.

any time anyone makes a sudden move around me, i immediately flinch. i always think they're gonna hit me. i also flinch when people jab stuff at me cus i always think its a taser

sometimes ill just flinch for no reason. sometimes it gets so bad i have these like, spaz fits. idk what it is. honestly i think diet coke had something to do with it

Sudden movements, gross bugs (except beetles), ear itches, NEEDLES and other very pointy or sharp objects

forget needles

Apparently I twitch in my sleep, I didn't know this but my friend told me when we were in class because I was asleep so when I was woken up by my teacher once I literally flung myself out of my chair and onto the ground.

when someone is taking forever to shoot at the firing range and then suddenly when I'm off-guard BANG, I practically jump out of my skin.

Oh and lastly

When my friend hugs me at the end of school or certain classes. She'll randomly hug me at the end of class or when we leave school. I'm getting used to it but the first two times I jumped

sharp noises of a specific frequency
