Author Topic: solar eclipse tomorrow!  (Read 2376 times)

I just missed it because the sky was cloudy.

Well, I guess that just means I'll have to wait another hundred years to see one.

i caught a pic!!! [and an incredibly shaky video, but that's still uploading]
okay it's actually a projection of it using binoculars but still

I was sick in bed, woo.

I'll catch the one in 2021

^

Why did i have to leave London yesterday

saw it, our school made glasses for everyone

it was only about 60% here but it was cool nonetheless, expecially since the next one will be in 2022

I had about an 80-90% eclipse but I missed the actual eclipse as my P1 teacher was a huge richard. He closed the blinds and made us just work in silence, and said that we can just look it up online (he was actually peeking through the blinds himself once in a while, but told us off when we did it). Yeah thanks for making us miss something that happens once over 10 years at a time.
Anyways, my P2 teacher isn't a richard so he let us go outside and gave us some disks to see it properly. It was really clear and really cool. Too bad by that point it was over halfway gone. My phone didn't pick it up very well, and this is the best shot I got:

Click to see it bigger. The tiny white crescent in the middle is the sun, being blocked by the moon about halfway to its left.

saw it with special dark glasses and then took them off, all that was visible of it was the underside of it (imagine an upside down ) symbol)

will upload pictures soon

Didn't get to see it at all, because all morning these stupid Welsh valleys were covered in thick fog.
It got darker, but didn't get to see the eclipse. :/

english teacher never let us see it at all
really annoying when you see other classes running out to see and all we got was a shed outside looking a bit grey-er than usual

God damn, your teachers are richards.
