3D print an automatic rifle
it's possible

Rifles are bad for home defense in my opinion. They are just as mobile as shotguns (if not less), and have very high entry and just a single slug as opposed to multiple pellets with much lower entry.

Motherloving .45, these are badass as forget.
With a long barrel and woodlike grip.

Would if I could, man.
Gun laws are fairly lax. You can't buy a handgun without a permit, but you can buy all the damn rifles ya want.
assuming you don't have a handgun permit, i'd go with the browning

get a mosin and build an obrez. i'll guarantee you wont find a cheaper close quarters weapon that is reliable and a firearm.
wait what are you serious now
are you seriously suggesting that OP builds an Obrez?

that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard

just do what Bisjac suggested. if somebody ever decides to raid your home (and dude, you live in loving Alaska, it's too cold for that stuff) a shotgun will be more than enough to scare the person away.

A shotgun or Pistol is pretty much your best best for home defense, usually a 9mm or .45.
A .22 would just piss someone off.

Don't get a flamethrower. Even if those who were suggesting it were joking, flamethrowers are stupidly dangerous.

EDIT: Also, learn some gun safety if you haven't already.

Get a Remington 870, nothing is scarier than staring down the barrel of a pump-action shotgun.

A .22 would just piss someone off.

I certainly hope you're not serious. A .22 bullet is just as capable of killing as any other bullet, albeit they are less likely to give instant death.

its possible, but it pretty much melts or breaks after a few shots.

A .22 would just piss someone off.
A .22 can just as easily tear into someone and make them bleed out. It doesn't take a .357 with hollow point rounds to kill someone.

Ok, should have said "assuming they are on drugs"
