yep. just what i expected from microrichard

Just because there's microtransactions doesn't make it p2w, they have to make money somehow, from what we've seen all weapons appear to be obtainable in-game.

they don't make enough money from the sales of the xbox one and the 351 games that can be played on it? along with the xbox 360 sales still going on. why can't we be free from their shackles for one game?

from what it seems, everything that can be bought with premium currency can also be bought with the ingame currency

thats not p2w

i know it's not pay2win anymore.

Because it costs money to make it in the first place, it takes a lot of time and effort to make something like this so of course they want it to benefit them, make the time it takes worth it. If you don't want to buy anything don't, it won't stop you from playing the game. It's a completely optional thing.

according to an earlier post, paying gives you an unfair advantage over people who don't pay for the guns. or maybe i read alkatjo's post wrong.

As long as it can be earned with in-game currency it's not really an unfair advantage. It will just take longer to get it compared to others, and even then we don't know how easy it is to earn this currency or how much of a difference these weapons actually make.

and you don't understand that the entire point of halo being Xbox exclusive is to sell Xbox Ones. if they released a PC halo (for f2p no less) then the potential console buyers would just play that (or try it, discover it's stuff, and move on.) instead of buying the console for it.
so the solution to that is to do what they did with mcc and only release the old game on pc and then give all the new ones to console users. and then it wont compel people to buy the pc version as much when they see its the old game on pc vs the new and shiny and upgraded mcc and halo 5

it would suck even more now since windows 10 is apparently going to be a free upgrade - this f2p halo won't even be able to sell windows 10 like halo 2 PC did with vista.
the countless people who have been foaming at the mouth for a new pc halo for years disagree. in case you dont remember or havent heard of it, a long time ago halo 2+3 popped up on the steam store and the people who have been waiting for years went absolutely apestuff.

Actually, if I'm correct, Marty stuck with Bungie after they left Microsoft and Halo to make the music for Destiny and then Bungie fired him, not 343, Marty was never a part of 343
You're correct.

Marty O'Donnell has always been employed at Bungie, hence why the music for Halo 4 was composed by different people.

Good try, but incorrect. Just because Microsoft has a large market share doesn't mean they wouldn't want to expand it with their flagship product. Windows 10 has DirectX 12 and Cortana, and if they announced Halo 3 or a similar thing to MCC for the PC, I can guarantee they would sell many copies of Windows 10 to consumers who aren't using an upgradeable OS yet, provided they market the game correctly.

There are plenty of Mac users with Xbox consoles.

so the solution to that is to do what they did with mcc and only release the old game on pc and then give all the new ones to console users
What the forget are you talking about?

What the forget are you talking about?
Im having a hard time englishing so let my try to rephrase that
What im trying to say is that them releasing a port of halo 3 wouldnt affect the console versions too much since most of the people who would buy it would be the already existing pc community for halo. People will always want shiny new graphics and need games so they're more compelled to buy the new console version. Theres also the fact that a big portion of the halo community sre the diehsrd fan type who buy any game no matter what comes out.
I dont know if that makes any sense but i hope thst clears up what i wss trying to say

You're both wrong in many ways without credible sources so im just going to leave it at that and hope you both do more research next time.

Bottom line, it has potential to be a good "free to play" game. I think I'll stick to map work and working with cmt on halo ce.

You work with cmt???

Used to, I did 2d texture art back when spv2 was still a thing. I don't see that as working with them, not like rigging bipeds or creating scripts for custom made bsps.
I might reconsider if they're still looking for people to help with spv3. But until then I want to try to create my own maps and campaigns.

Man, I loved the forge mode in some of the more recent Halo games. I hope this game incorporates that in some way or another. The creative minigames people made were amazing sometimes.

According to Gamecheat13 (Modder and pusillanimous individual Destroyer of the Halo community) The firefight GUI was left in the code, which means that it's either planned for an update or they forgot to remove some stuff from the original engine.
