The situation in Vlast grows more and more dire. Elmic forces are now fifty kilometers from Elektrislav, now renamed Kosagrad. The city is a fortress. Every street, every building is a shooting gallery. Few civilians remain in the city. In the north, Elmic progress is slow. Forces are evenly matched 1:1. The situation on the Southeast Front is much worse. Vlastcovite forces are outnumbered 2-3:1. They are certainly outmatched in the experience department.

In the West, there are few skirmishes between Federal Troops and Austarians(?). Most of the fighting is left to be done by the tribal inhabitants of Dudal. The advance is halted and the two armies engage in a war of attrition.

On the Southern Theater, the citizens of Soyuzagorsk are encouraged to grow their own food to stave off famine. The bay to Soyuzagorsk is still blocked by the Elmic and Austarian Navies.

The diplomat in Burellis asks but one favor, that DIMA break the blockade on Soyuzagorsk.

*cough*

can i 'come crawling back' so to speak

Of course.  I'll update the map as I just declared UEK an NPC.

Also so I know how things really work, could you send me a pm with details on how your government works in relation to the federate states or what have you?

I am honestly confused how things work for you so I'd like to know.

im not entirely sure myself

the entire thing needs to be restructured in fact and IC i'll get to work on that after the elmic-vlastcovite war ends

but right now, the easiest way to explain it would be a loose confederacy (uek, kyrev, "protectorate" states excluding genera) held together by a federation (uek and kyrev, federal government is based in the UEK)

genera is about as loose as it can get, as its military is autonomous

anyway, the confederate hierarchy (it is a confederacy after all) is as follows

UEK - de facto head of the sovereign collective

Kyrev - founding member, military unified with the UEK's, economy can survive on its own but now has heavy ties with noastadt, taczowa and the UEK

Taczowa - well-tied in member, support from kyrevan and elmic economies have made it difficult for taczowa to survive otherwise (think helping hand... in supplying heroin), military largely disbanded however taczowa's ranged infantry tactics have been assimilated and are in use by the elmic army

Noastadt - tied in member, economy can survive independently but land military is nonexistant, naval power merged with the UEK

Juodvitz - loose member, economy can survive independently and is only partially merged, army is being merged with the UEK's

Kyrnov - semi-loose member, economy can survive independently and is only partially merged, army is disbanded

Genera - very loose member, economy can survive independently and is only lightly merged, army is mostly independent

Astura gets more aggressive and begins sieging the rest of Dudal

The revolution group is not fazed by the planning, and continue to do crime. One person even bombed a shop near the government building.

Witnesses are questioned, and many find that the terrorists wear Burellian support cloths.  These cloths are immediately recalled.

The greater public opinion turns pro-Burellis, since the rail lines and connections to a vast wealthy trade route allow for a tremendous economic boost.  Additionally, now that Wicherton is able to be protected, the people feel more safe.  The public is filled with mixed opinions; some still uphold that autonomy is better, and others believe that the occupant force is providing benefits that the nation couldn't previously provide.  However, since the government allows for Wichertian citizens to uphold their citizenship and most domestic rights, they see the point of violent resistance unnecessary.

A statement goes out from the viceroy that if any terrorist should admit to their crimes, they will face only two years in prison, and will be granted amnesty for Burellian citizenship.

Three of the revolution group do submit, but the rest stays strong. A bomb is planted under the railroad tracks, at a certain pressure, it should explode under the train.

The rails are not even functional yet.  They're still being built.

Viceroy Herche sends out a statement that acts to disturb the public peace will not be tolerated, and that he has been very lenient on the people.  If such actions do continue, he will be forced to place the nation under martial law, to confiscate certain products such as gunpowder, to issue rations, etc.  Herche says that it is irresponsible for the group to have to make conditions unsafe for Wichertian civilians, such as bombing a shop amongst committing other crimes.  The group is labeled both anti-Burellis and anti-Wicherton, due to the nature of the attacks.  The Bureau of Public Safety in Wicherton opens up a nation-wide community watch program that allows Wichertian citizens to work alongside the police to report suspicious activity in their communities.

The joint Asturan-UEK naval fleet begins attacking major Vlastcovite ports, deploying marines on the docks in an attempt to capture the ports entirely. The UEK suspects this move will be successful, as intelligence notes that they've focused on fortifying against the Elmic army, not to mention the increasingly dangerous Asturan army.

Several ports along the coast of Vlast fall, privateers are sunk. Marines are met with some resistance from Reservists. A shootout at Kremlin Czesław ensues. Dozens of heavy batteries fire upon the Elmic navies besieging it. They, predictably, return fire. A similar engagement occurs at Kremlin Alexei. The newfound Federal Frigate Flotilla moves to support. There are dozens of frigates and schooners, refit merchant ships and fishing vessels. If the Kremlins fall, then the bay will be vulnerable. Citizens of Soyuzagorsk are paid to construct Kremlin Kołar on the coast. The fortifications are currently impromptu at best.

The Elmic army begins to lay seige upon Vlast's major cities, having lost little on the advance through the countryside.

Three more Longbow-I ships are to be constructed, along with an 86-gun first-rate, 2 68-gun first-rates, 2 50-gun second rates, and 2 36-gun second rates.  The southern fleet loosens its patrols on Telar slightly, and is relocated to Ft. Blackdome.

Rustic underground factories are made to produce weapons. The revolution group dies down a bit from the threat, and awaits all of this to blow over.

Both construction sounds and smoke arising from storm drains and iron drain lids is reported, and a mission of 300 light infantry and 300 heavy infantry at each instance are sent underground to intercept what they believe are the terrorists responsible for public unrest.  Civilians are evacuated immediately.  They are ordered to shoot any and all inhabitants in the sewers so there will be no risk.
