Look at the map.  It's updated to the latest edition unless I missed something.  If it's off, you can use the report feature.

The settlers had intended to set up cities in the already-claimed territory. It doesn't really matter where as long as there isn't an enormous expanse of area without a significant center of population.

Well one, yes, they do have arrows, but also guns.  They use a mix of both, as guns are not as easy for them to make than bows and crossbows are.

And two, cities take time to establish.  I will add some over time.  Feel free to designate where a few of them will go.  Also these cities are places where like 2 million or more people live.

Two million people seem kind of insane. I'd have to redo the cities in Kyrev then, because I have 11 + the capital there and I certainly didn't have 24 million people at any point. I had
kind of thought the cities would have just been notable locations along trade routes, so like, maybe 100,000 and up.

Also would like to note; in 1801 the population of London, then the world's largest city (or one of them), was only one million people. I think two million+ for a large city is a little crazy; London only reached those numbers in the 1840s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_London

A second envoy is sent. He is a volunteer. In a drastic move, he dismisses the Federal Troops guarding the envoy. If the insurrectionists choose to attack, they will attack an unarmed political envoy. It is something that could be internationally condemned.

That is fair.  Can we settle at 400,000?

What can you expect from warrior tribes on drugs?  The party is wiped out and the supplies and documents stolen.

Burellis hears of the conflict up North and goes "No thanks."

Although it is difficult for news to reach the prefecture office, a report comes in, dated two weeks ago, that the natives somehow had possession of cannons and knowledge on how to use them, and they were able to fire at the prefecture office a few times before they ran out of shot.  They effectively blew a hole in the outer wall of the grounds, destroyed a fountain in the garden, and shot through a second story window, through a supply closet, and out the other side of the building.  They are unsure if they can hold the building for much longer.

you were already invited
I just needed your approval

KANSAKOYA HAS JOINED THE DEVEWIN INTER-MARITIME ALLIANCE

The lack of word received back from the envoy means that it has either been attacked or held hostage. The act of brutality is documented and pushed forth to press and the NSTO. The press, being the press, blows stuff out of proportion pretty quickly. The attacks go to show the length of which the tiny confederation will go.

Dima Kos and Boresław Kolar present a plan to the Duma.

The plan calls for; the allocation of funds to create and rebuild existing infrastructure,
The creation of necessary institutions, such as schools, hospitals, and places of worship.
The installation of local political leaders to the District Legislature, and the installation of a generally well respected statesmen as the District Executive. One who can help cool the situation between Vlast and Dudal. (Think MLK)

More Federal Troops arrive at the border between SAFD Dudal and the rest of Vlast. Two Regiments.

The current timescale is fine. I have little interest in going about the battles step by step. The Sid Jario Europa Forumalis strategic warfare method is preferable.

I'll still take stuff like the hemlock burning and the routing of specific convoys though, just don't expect a battle.

Astura commands its troops to slowly advance into the borders of the Dudal Confederation, If resistance is to be seen it is to be eliminated. There will be losses but we're already in the conflict, little to no point backing out now

Hopefully by slowly advancing into the state, there will not be an eruption of rebels, but they will be picked off as Astura troops near the centre.

The small force that is already in Dudal is commanded to hold their positions.

tl:dr im cleaning up, not going to settle in the land yet

The Asturan troops meet the same fate as the Vlastcovite forces moving in from the east, namely:  Poisoning from hemlock fires, assaults by any roadways, and dense forces in the forests.

The safest method is often to travel by road during daylight, as the Black Forest itself provides a lot of cover.  Travel is risky in open fields, as enemies often live in the shadows.  Travel by night provides plenty of room for the natives to ambush.  And the forest, the heart of it all, is best to be avoided.

The UEK sends 8,000 Topsmen, 5,000 Soldats and 10,000 light infantry units to reinforce Vlast. They're placed under the command of the already stationed counts.

The UEK begins repairing the infrastructures of Noastadt and Taczowa, partially by establishing state-owned mines and farms, in an attempt to improve their economies.

The UEK also proposes an international railway from Vlast's capitol to Kyrev's, with a handful of stops in between.

*yellow squares indicate necessary refuel stations

It would take about 12 to 15 years to complete, but would heavily strengthen the economies and industries of all involved states.

Vlastcovite Military commanders argue over the best way to subdue the natives in Dudal. Kolar oversees this, but pushes for a peace solution, or at the least, minimal collateral damage.

Vlast accepts the proposal from the UEK on plans for the railroad. The Duma looks at contractors to work on the railroad, and to supply the needs components.

Due to the immense expenditures, and very little taxes, especially corporate, Vlast's government budget becomes strained.

Astura begins work on enlarging its navy by beginning work on manufacturing the following ships
5- 58 guns
3 - 34 guns
and a 76 gun

Burellian merchant ships are seen departing in great numbers to Drulland, carrying beads, spices, tea, and iron tools or tool parts.  Burellian shipbuilding industries boom at the demand for Third World products increase.

Construction on the naval base on the island of the extinct volcano begins.

Envoys are also sent to southern parts of Devevin to negotiate peace with the locals, and to request the building of settlements along the coast.

The UEK gathers contractors from its own state, Taczowa, Genera, Noastadt, and Kyrev to begin the rail. They also hire Vlastcovite and Asturan labour.
