Bump.

The emperor falls ill, and the first prince is chosen to be his highness's successor.  The nobility and members of the merchant class are happy with this decision, the artisans are slightly pleased, but the people for the most part are unhappy, favoring the second prince (also, the chancellor, holding the seat for over ten years.), who is a favorite of the people.

Teleri parliamentary elections put a radically limited government party into power following a vote of no confidence following the implementation of some very limited welfare programs.

The emperor breathes his last, and is buried.

The next day, the new emperor, Klauss von Bronheim X, is crowned.  In his coronation speech, he issues a decree that Burellis shall grow as an empire, for its bounds of influence to reach near and far.

A month after this, the navy is to under go overhaul in order to update older ships.

Colonial holdings are to have increased military presence, and two more colonies are to be founded to the west of Drulland.

As soon as research comes back from the joint research project in the UEK, the nation begins to store up the coal that it has mined from the Third World.  Railroad lines are planned in Burellis, and are offered to extend into Espovon if Espovon will provide railways.

Espovon accepts, condolences are also sent on the recent events

A scholar visiting Kyrnov inspects several ruins, dating back to the empire that Kyrnov was once part of. He concludes that the ruins, if restored, would potentially be one of the best training grounds for a standing army in Namche. When he returns to his home state, he informs the Tsar of this opportunity.

Soon after, another scholar digs up evidence that the UEK-- and possibly Kyrev-- were also part of this empire, but split ways at one point due to political and economic strain.

The UEK asks the government of Kyrnov to allow the restoration of the fortifications, and offers that if they oblige, then Kyrnov's military could merge as an elite subunit of the UEK's, similar to Juodvit's.

Soon after this proposal is made, another one is laid out-- the proposition of a federation between Taczowa, the Elmic province, Kyrev, and Noastadt.

Kyrnov kindly objects to this offer.  While the ruins might serve as a favorable training ground, they are widely recognized as a sacred historical site to their people.  Many of these ruins, as well, are accompanied by burial grounds.

Elmic scholars hypothesize that the empire had reached its height around 820 AD, and had fallen some time around 1300 AD, and had once rivaled the strength of the Drozje.

The Teleri parliament looks upon that imperial actions of Burrelis with silent disapproval, but requests that Burrelis share railway technology with it.

Parliament also passes laws enacting complete free trade and reining in government spending.

Burellis agrees to share the technology with Telar, but will not be able to connect all of Burellis and Espovon with Telar due to the swampy marshlands that separates the mainland Burellis from East Burellis.

The CWP wins a lions share of the Duma seats. Boreslaw Kolar leaves office. A CWP Prime Minister is elected, Piotyr Kralj. Ruslan Stoika and Dima Kos observe the fast deregulation of business. They speak out.

The 'race to the bottom' begins.

A group of several workers who worked to get the CWP representatives in office cross into the UEK. They request political asylum. They have published articles and internal memos about an alleged ballot-stuffing operation.

Civil unrest rises.

They are detained (however they are not held in a prison, but rather, a manor) and are politely told not to leave the premises. There isn't much physically stopping them from doing so, however.

The UEK confiscates any papers they've brought with them, and attempts something of a background check. The lack of information, however, makes the process difficult. For the most part, they seem to be guilty of nothing more than speaking out against what they oppose.

They are offered citizenship in the UEK, on the circumstance that they do not get involved with nobility.

News printers crank out ever-wilder stories about what went on. The public is furious. There is a march on the Duma. Internal Troops are called up from local militias. More than half fail to assemble to contain the crowds. Three regiments of Captial Guardsmen are called. They show up and assist in quelling the crowds. About 500 soldiers turn their backs to the crowds and face the Duma. They refuse orders to rejoin rank.

Ruslan Stoika is arrested on accounts of slander. He is released by a disgruntled jailer. The jailer is jailed and a small manhunt is called.

Dima Kos prepares to leave the country.

The citizens of Vlast have had enough of unreglated capitalism, now their unions are being assaulted, and their wages dropped and taxes raised.

Burellis restricts travel to and from Vlast due to recent events, and encourages other DIMA members to do the same.

Propaganda goes out to the public, especially around bars and in lower-class areas with a high amount of unemployment.  It promotes the ideas of "Glorifying the Fatherland" by joining efforts to spread our influence across the globe.  The posters promote joining the military, more often the navy, joining a colonial expedition, depicting the growth of colonies and enterprise, often promising riches to those who partake in it.  Colonial and naval recruiters begin to go to these places to try to pick out those who desire to go.  Another naval training academy begins construction at Wascher.

The senior staff of the navy begin to plan joint training operations between the Daschen Fleet, the Hascher Fleet, and the Chevian Fleet.  The Longbow I is to be again tested with new modifications.

Telar looks on as Vlast begins to tear itself apart.  Many Teleri merchants begin to withdraw their assets from the nation.  Immigration from Vlast is left open, in hopes that workers with mechanical expertise or businessmen with noteworthy assets will become Teleri.  The Teleri people largely look upon the matter as the result of cronyism following the publication of a popular series of pamphlets expressing the link between business and the state in Vlast.

Teleri merchants begin to focus less and less to the North, and more and more to the South and East and the Allinazufer region.  The islands to the East are encouraged to join the Republic.

Private companies in Telar begin to manufacture the infrastructure of railroads.  Following an initial glut of mismatched standards, leaders from the blossoming industry meet and establish a common standard for the width of rails and other important dimensions.

After several weeks of unproductiveness between protests and unrest, FLP representatives walk out of the Duma in protest. Crowds assault the Executive building and swamp the private protection detail. Eighty are lost in the ensuing events. Piotyr Kralj is captured, as his well as the Adjutant Minister. Federal Troops have scuffles amongst themselves over personal beliefs.

Outside of the nations capital and largest cities, aside from company towns, there is little unrest. Sparse events dot the map. Most outcries come from laborers, such as miners, and shipbuilders.

As part of continuity, the Speaker of the Duma is on track to become the Provisional Prime Minister.

The UEK's navy approaches an island off the coast of Avaela, and lands troops. They quickly cleanse the island of natives, and the admiral declares the land part of the UEK.

Soon after, a fleet of merchant ships intersect the navy, and are escorted to the island. They establish a hamlet, and begin construction of a dock worthy of holding multiple ships.

A few months later, a similar process occurs in the archipelago.

These two islands, to the southeast of Telar, are cleaned, claimed and colonized.
