the UEK's army begins garrisoning in the elmic province in particular

Espovon begins sending more supply's to further the growth of its colony, a name will be elected soon and trade has increased with the current natives

two large forts are beginning near the mouth of the inner bay

Faced with possible annihilation by imperialist ventures from the North, islands to the East of Telar accept the Teleri invitation to become part of the Teleri Federation, viewing Teleri protection as favorable to destruction.

Teleri merchants are incensed at the UEK's massacre of its trading partners on he island in Telar's back yard, and largely cease trade activities in the North.  Allinazufer is becoming an increasingly important trade interest to Telar, and has grown increasingly wealthy by trading goods such as iron and coal for Teleri goods.

The Teleri Prime Minister (Liberal (Limited Government) Party, Moderate) calls for another set of elections, as he feels that the national defense may be threatened by the UEK entering into this part of the world, and believes that other parties may be more willing to devote funds toward preparation for national defense.  His gamble pays off, and the Liberal Party is forced into a coalition government with the Nationalist Party, which has mildly expansionist, protectionist, and statist views.  Funding is directed toward the army and navy.

Railroads begin to connect Telar's major cities (where possible), and new industry shows signs of moving into formerly less accessible inland areas.  Shipyards remain a major means of transportation, though.

Telegrams being recently brought to a reasonable level of usability by the Technical University, begin to be  laid along with rail lines to provide quick and hopefully reliable communication throughout the nation.

Workers building the Vlast side of the Vlasto-Elmic railroad strike due to the forced dissolution of their union. Hostilities escalate as a private military service fires on the strikers. About fifty die. The strikers disperse. Federal Troops arrive and disband the private regiment. About a dozen privateers and overseers are arrested, along with several workers.

The workers are returned to work, and compromise in the mean time for shorter work hours.

Elmic workers, guarded by soldiers, enter Vlast to bolster construction of the rails.

You.

They call themselves the Xianese.

The land around Dreistadt is found to be favorably fertile, and land in the region is mandated to Burellis, however, as of late, the swampy areas in the regions have caused a moderately severe outbreak of Malaria.  Burellis looks for solutions such as draining the swamp in the very near future.

They are given the signal to dock, and a diplomat is readied.

The Provisional Prime Minister delares a state of emergency in the Soyuzagorsk. The PPM is Maxim Horvat. He calls for reelections. They are set in a few weeks.

The Xianese messenger issues the diplomat a single-paged document in gold trim with a wax seal on the envelope that was hand-written from the emperor of Xianai.  The letter is as follows:

Quote from: Emperor Zhe Qui XXXIV
It has come to my attention that a new colony has come to our region of the world.  While normally the great nation of Xianai and its friends would welcome the peaceful arrival of new people near us, as it provides a new prospect for trade, the recent colonial undertaking by the Elmic settlers and the military-enforced extermination of our friends in trade will not be taken lightly.  Let it be known that any further aggressive expansion will result in a similar appropriate response.  Henceforth, the nation of Xianai and its friends are to allow no trade with your nation, your colony, and your allies.

Burellis increases naval presence at Fort Blackdome and begins to patrol the waters around it.

Burellis also increases naval presence around Einstadt, but promises Chais that it means no harm.  Ships are instructed to stay away from Chais waters.

i can't help but feel like drozjenat and xianai are both handicappedly powerful third world coalitions which you created solely for the purpose of countering my advances

I planned from the beginning for there to be two large powers in the third world, and I placed them exactly where I planned to place them since the beginning.  Additionally, I am creating opportunities in the Third World that provide pathways to allow nations to achieve the same level of greatness that empires of the nineteenth century were able to achieve.
