on reddit you can control what shows up, and that's what I like about it
I don't recall being able to follow hashtags but I prefer following pages dedicated to things

for example, I follow /r/lgg2 and if I followed a hashtag of lgg2 then you wouldn't see as many people partaking in conversation with that set hashtag
