Is it wrong of me to prefer big, backstory-pushing plot events versus intricate character development of Steven and the Gems? I'm an animation student, and I told some of my peers I was really looking forward to more "Jailbreak/Arrival"-esque plot-event episodes, and they seemed to get a bit upset, even though I don't devalue character development. I'm not sure what to think.

Oh yeah I'm totally excited for it. I'm especially worked up because they teased Yellow Diamond in the extended theme song, which is according to most fan theories one of the three Gem Authorities, and the one who led the fight against Rose (correct me if I'm wrong). I just feel like re-opening the scars of an ancient civil war and bringing the Homeworld leaders to Earth again is so much more interesting than trust issues.

Future vision time: The final episode in Stevenbomb 3 will include a flashback showing more about the Gem civil war and a look at Yellow Diamond.
