i just realized that they did the onion being born thing to lower suspicions about people thinking onion is yellow diamond
its pretty obvious hes not and the joke has gone too far to where some believe it
also the being born thing sounds pretty disgusting until steven said what it was. im sure parents would have told their children to change the channel if steven didnt say anything and that kept going

SPOILERS: MORE PERIDOT. ANOTHER SCENE WITH SARDONYX. 10/10 and a new location. and garnet and pearl finally made up! We got to see that peridot is actually a robot, and more of her high pitched voice! it's getting more obvious there are more than one gem with the same gemstone and name too.
