Author Topic: should marijuana be legalized for recreational use?  (Read 9068 times)

I wouldn't mind, as long as it was illegaly to use it in public

also please ban public use of cigarettes

only gay people smoke drugs
i get high on being cool
B)

Weed is healthier then cigarettes.
Enough said.

Alcohol and tobacco are much more unhealthy, no reason they are legal and marijuana is not.

All the wannabe druggies in my school are loving idiots and I think half the reason why is because they think they're cool because they can get weed or something.
I'd vote no.
So if it were legal then no one would think they were cool just for having it
Problem solved

No, lots of my friends have changed as soon as they started smoking weed.

It only makes sense to legalize marijuana for both recreational use and medicinal use. If the government were to tax marijuana sales, who knows how much tax revenue they could get. The revenue could be used for education, infrastructure, environmental treatment, etc. Simply looking at Colorado would almost prove that legalizing marijuana would benefit the economy. It also has medicinal uses, such as cancer treatment, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's treatment, and other various ones. The government has spent too much money with the whole war on marijuana.

Have any of you heard of someone getting pulled over for driving under the influence of marijuana? I doubt it.

People say smoking marijuana doesn't make you dumber.

Take an IQ test while high and I guarantee you won't get a higher score than when you aren't high.
you could say the same thing about taking the test while your sleepy

We did it for tobacco and alcohol, two drugs on a whole different, miserying, usually life deteriorating level from marijuana, which has been proven to have medicinal benefits AND actually serve as possibly THE most ungodly difficult drug to OD from.

Just saying.

IMO yeah but with restrictions. Like for example, it shouldn't be legal for kids to buy/use. Once you hit 18 do whatever the forget you want, but it should be regulated like alcohol imo

iirc, they are most likely going to legalize it here in ohio. since ohio mainly southern-ward is conservative, i have my doubts it'll happen.

I don't care as long you don't smoke it in public. In fact I Don't want ANYONE smoking anything around me, I don't want that stuff in my lungs
What gives you more entitlement to public space than smokers? I don't feel strongly about this topic, but as a rights-to-public-space issue, this kind of attitude is extremely self-centered. You don't own the land so your opinion isn't any more valid than the smoker next to you who wants to smoke publicly.
