Use the research point on the soldier class

if there is a way to use the point to extend the pyro's reach maybe

Research points only add new towers. This game typically revolves around strategy instead of pure tower damage. Pyros are better if you keep them as close to the pathway as possible, you arn't restricted to the optimal location markers. The only research point exceptions are for engineers, because they have upgrades that add the ability to create sentry guns, and dispensers.

yeah i was kinda thinking in terms of a new weapon that may make a pyro have a larger range in the future i understand that it isn't exactly upgrading current towers

So the best bet is to research upgrades for towers with better range on them. This looks like a mid-to-long range map, and there are no choke points to this map where pyros would be useful.
I thought that the pyro tower would have a longer range than already said, but I was wrong.

So, I still say we put research to the soldier class.
Could we also sell towers, right?

Yes, selling a tower will give you half of its original price. This does not work for stock towers. You get the full price back unless its a heavy tower, in which case you get half.

-1 Technology Point

New Tower - Direct Hit Soldier Tower

  • Deals increased damage to enemies.
  • Rockets travel extremely fast. Good vs FAST enemies.
  • Rockets Mini-Crit airborne targets. Good vs AIR enemies.
    • Rocket splash radius extremely small. Poor vs SPLASH enemies.

    Shop

Stock Scout Tower - 25 Metal

Stock Soldier Tower - 25 Metal
Direct Hit Soldier Tower - 50 Metal

Stock Pyro Tower - 25 Metal

Stock Demoman Tower - 25 Metal

    Stock Heavy - 50 Metal

Stock Engineer Tower - 25 Metal

Stock Medic Tower - 10 Metal

Stock Sniper Tower - 25 Metal

Stock Spy Tower - 25 Metal

Sell pyro, put it on 4.
Do this, but also buy a direct hit soldier tower.

Sell pyro, put it on 4.

Might want to put it on 5. A heavy is occupying 4

There is no pos 5, Heavy is occupying pos 3, pos 4 is what you meant to say

Look at the pic again.
There is currently one pyro, one soldier, one demoman, and a heavy, plus one unoccupied space near the cap. Their are five positions on this map with a straight line leading to the cap.

If we put anything at pos 4, we would have to sell the stock heavy before replacing it with a new tower.

Precicely. Look to the top right corner, just to the top right of the heavy. You will notice that spot.

In that respect, we should sell both the Stock Pyro in Pos. 1 and the Stock Soldier in Pos. 2 and replace them with Direct Hit Soldiers. And it looks like pos. 5 seems to be very close to the walkway (and to the wall) so a Stock Pyro there.

The Heavy and Demo can stay because the Heavy's Minigun has a spread to hit multiple targets, and Demo's have splash damage. But after that, gotta be careful. There's going to be 10 scouts, so they may be weak, but they're the fastest. So for now, the objective is to hit them faster.

You should try and re-read some of the stuff you post. You don't make a lot of sense at some times.
