Author Topic: A Playertype with the Smash Bros. Damage system  (Read 2032 times)

Basicly the simple idea behind this is a damage system that you get a % of damage on the bottom of the screen, and it fills up more and more everytime you get hit, and when the percentage goes up, the higher the knockback is.

Can someone do that please? And maybe add a bubble as a shield to replace the jets if possible.

Is it possible to get it from that gamemode version someone made?

The one on the gamemode is a script that runs in the gamemode only, I need something similar but in a playertype so I can use it on a custom gamemode.

Bump because I really want to see this happen, the damage system on the gamemode only works when you're inside the gamemode, I can't make it work on custom.

i made something like this but i never went very far with it

after re-reading this post in retrospect i have to ask myself the question "what was the point of saying that"

I'll make one as well.
Battle of the coders!

Super Smash Coders

Maybe combine it with the 2-D playertype?

ok you can make it instead

Maybe combine it with the 2-D playertype?
uhh this is too sensible for me i'm out!!

i wasn't working on it anyway lol

Though this may be slightly unrelated, it could prove to be useful. One particular guy tried to use a 2-D camera system in the SSBL Gamemode. It looked cool at first, but it was very hard to control the avatar on a 2-D plane.
Slight moral: 2-D can be a bit hard to manage, but if it can be done, go for it.

I would also like to place some input to the keybinds: make the jump a triple jump. That way, if the player falls off the edge, he would have a chance to recover. And a double-tap keybind for the arrow keys to dodge attacks.
