Author Topic: Pizzaria in my town raises $842k over gays rights debacle, reopens to full house  (Read 34920 times)

yeah its kinda a richard move in a way (barely), but its their business, and its definitely not segregation like kochie is trying to paint it as
It's giving what's essentially a legal precedent for allowing communities to segregate themselves. Just because it's not being 'enforced' by the government doesn't mean that certain communities won't use it to force gay people out.

What he said, it's a slippery slope that leads to more problems.

I understand that a business can refuse a service to someone who is reckless and devious. But just by someone's loveuality, it's just not right. Someone's loveuality shouldn't play into such a simple service like pizza.

it would be segregation if a town forces gay people out of their homes/town and says "we dont hate gays we just dont want you here", but im pretty sure a pizzeria isnt forcing gay people out of their homes though, they just dont want to cater a wedding so its far from segregation.

so a simple "we dont cater this" leads to the next holocaust???

im 99% sure no restaurant or store asks for loveuality so they can buy things (including memories pizza), if they did that then told them they wont serve them then thats actually segregation
its probably obvious whoever came in asked them the question "do you serve gays?" or where just really loving obvious looking wearing all the gay pride clothing they could find

It's the mindset of "Being x is fundamentally wrong" that leads to things like segregation and genocide, which is the exact mindset that those people have. That's what people are upset about.

At the end of the day who the forget would want a wedding at a stuffty pizza place anyway?
Like if you were going to get married at a pizza place go to papa johns or some fancy Italian restaurant.
Do you even know what "catering" means?
Here's a hint: it is not synonymous with "hosting."

seems like the angry people who are against the pizzeria have that same mindset too huh?

Or it could be the fact that they wanted catering for their marriage, when the restaurant saw that the couple was homoloveual, that could've been the tip off. But no, you go on to assume they were extremely flamboyant about it.

Jesus, the couple never even existed.
It was a news reporter who asked the question (and also started the fund apparently).

yo put the fact that it was just a reporter asking a question in the title

i want my pizza with... extra sausage

yeah though i guess its pretty inconvenient for you that they already said they'd serve anyone and anything outside of a gay wedding
