Author Topic: Pizzaria in my town raises $842k over gays rights debacle, reopens to full house  (Read 34909 times)

jews who believe in jesus are christians
therefore everyone who crucified him was christian

no. the belief in the messiah coming is not what a christian is. because all muslims, christians and jews believe that. and roughly the same exact story.

chrisitanity didnt exist for a few 100 more years. it never evolved, it was created with a purpose, outright.

Just as I expected from a restaurant in Indiana.

Yeah, I shouldn't have said that.

Anyways, this'll probably spread to not only catering, but to the general public such as transportation services, restrooms, water fountains, etc. It's like history is somewhat repeating itself.

As expected from a restaurant in Indiana.

forget off

Wait
So

This reporter girl asks if they'd cater a gay wedding
They say no and everyone is outraged
Then another reporter from the same show makes a gofundme to raise money

Does anyone else fine this suspicious? I mean, they had to have known their response would cause outrage, then they turn around and raise money for them?

Also, posting this again because the gofundme uses this stuff in the first sentence:

oh shiiiiiit

Maybe they had some unintended consequences and decided to sympathize with them?
See:
they had to have known their response would cause outrage

This subject isn't something that people ignore these days

Update:
http://www.gofundme.com/qpkabg

Fundraisers to out-fund memories pizza is started, apparently the proceeds go to the indiana youth group.

Memories pizza didn't actually have a website, somebody created the domain to mock them (CLICK AT YOUR OWN WARNING, THE WEBSITE IS HIJACKED AND CONTENT CAN CHANGE TO NSFW STUFF)

From what it sounds like, memories will reopen another day, and they haven't closed permanently. I might try to get into contact with one of the owners of the pizzaria, but I might not have much luck.

On one hand I'm disgusted at the death threats but on the other hand I'm disgusted they're going to be possibly getting 300 grand for what they did, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Christianity doesn't preach ignorance and hatred

Christianity doesn't preach the limiting of others rights

Christianity preaches to love thy neighbor and to respect others

Creates the laws in order to promote religious freedom for Christians

You're loving handicapped if you believe this isn't hypocritical what so ever.

There really is no side you can defend here. Everybody is an starfish. Everybody.

I can say something bad about every group and every belief(this includes atheism. It wasn't religion that denied the couple pizza, it was a stubborn business who will cling to their beliefs. All of the bad things that happened in history weren't because of religion, they happened because of intolerant people of someone elses beliefs for not believing the same thing as them. People is the problem, not relgion. Unless a bible, quran, or tora magically flies through the air and smacks you in the face, then I think we can agree that these actions are the work of humans and not ideas.

Lots of business have signs saying they reserve the right to refuse business to anybody and in this day in age the double standards are ridiculous. If some jewish store owner refused service to a man because he was a white supremist, no one would care. If a black store owner refused service to a klans member, no one would care. If a SJW denied service to person for being a white male, no would care. If a jew denied service to a Palestinian, then their would be some protest. If some lgbt trans gender queer denied service to a straight couple, no one would care.

Is wrong for this restaurant to deny service to a gay wedding? Depends on your beliefs, but if you are offended then then you better be offended by the stuff other groups do. Double standards doesn't help anyone and only creates more ignorance which leads to more intolerance.
